A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

Music Mouse - I know you have used Artscow and I had some good credits with them but the shipping is so expensive... almost as much as the items. Are they and international location or the US? Also was just wondering if you knew anywhere to get good discount codes for them?

Artscow is located in Hong Kong, which is why shipping is so expensive and why it takes a couple weeks to get your books. I have gotten several awesome discount codes on Facebook, so if you are on there go "Like" them. They also have a "Specials" tab at the top of their website page that often features photobooks. :goodvibes

I don't see why not - it sounds like fun! Be aware that these books do get heavy with all of the cardstock, so make sure that it isn't too heavy for the fish extender hook. :goodvibes

thank you for giving me this tip. Will see what I can come up with :thumbsup2

Thank you so much for the info! I didn't realize they were in Hong Kong. I found 2 great codes and just thought I would share if any one needed them -

8x8 Photo Book (20 pages) for $6.99/each + free shipping
Use ArtsCow Coupon Code PBS699

6x6 photo books for $3.99/each + free shipping
Use ArtsCow Coupon 6X6BOOKS

8"x8" photo books (30pages) for $11.99/each with free shipping
Use ArtsCow Coupon 30PBOOK1199

Good luck everyone!!

Thanks for the heads up on the codes! I just got my new 8x8 autograph book from artscow in the mail today!! The picture quality is beautiful, and the pages are sewn in rather than glued in for extra durability. I'm so excited!! :goodvibes

How long did it take to get your books? We are within a month and I'm afraid to order them from Arts Cow because my last order (26 poster!) took a month to get here!

Thanks!

I ordered mine on January 26th, and it arrived on February 6th - 11 days. (That's pretty good considering the fact that they had to print it and then ship it halfway around the world.) I think if you ordered right away you would get it on time. :goodvibes

Great pages!! :thumbsup2 I see that you have 2 characters per page. Are you going to print it as a 7x9 to provide a little extra space for the autographs? :goodvibes

ETA: I would like to add the link to your photobucket pages in post #1. Would you be willing to share your DISigns, or did you use some personal use only material?

Let me go through and check. I think a couple of them do have personal use only things on them.

If I go with Arts Cow, they will be 7x9. At first I though that might not be big enough for two to a page, but after I went back and looked at the signatures from last year's book, I think it will be fine.

Thanks!!

Your autograph book looks fabulous! That will be a great souvenier!

Just in case you use this album to load from, you have a few pages duplicated. I think they were the one with Tiana, Cinderella, Pooh and Frozone. I am not positive but I thought those were the ones I saw twice.

I don't usually link to other sites, but this was so good that I wanted to pass it along. My good friend Josh (who I have never actually met in person, but whose irreverent WDW blog I read faithfully) has done a fabulous character walkthrough of the Magic Kingdom. It tells you when and where the characters are meeting, the best times to meet them, and prioritizes them by the level of difficulty in finding/meeting them. You can find it here: http://www.easywdw.com/character-lo...-wait-times-best-times-to-meet-etc/#more-6985. Enjoy! :goodvibes

Thanks Amy! I do know there are duplicates. I kept going back and changing them so I have at least two of each page!! :rotfl:

This is a great resource! Thanks for sharing! I'll dig through it more over the coming days. Looks like I'm going to have to order the books from somewhere else anyway because I can't get enough pages into the book from Arts Cow. They only allow 32 pages per book. With the extra autograph pages I added, I need 38. I'm looking at using Mixbook. Have never ordered from them, but I'll keep my fingers crossed!! Also looks like I'll have to do 8x6 size. I'm hoping that's still big enough! We'll see! :)

I just wanted to post a quick Thank you for creating this thread. I finished my books and have hidden them away from the kids. My husband commented how professional they turned out...I didn't dare tell him how easy it was thanks to this tutorial and all the DISigners who created the various pages...so, Thank you thank you thank you!

I"m not sure if this is where I should be posting -- we're going to wdw the 1st of april and I'm attemping to make autograph books for each of my children. I Love your cover page with the 4 parks and characters but was wondering if you could make one that says Jon and one for Arya? it will match the one you have for Robbie's autographs.

thanks amber

You're in the right place! This cover is actually Natalie's, but I'm personalizing it for her while she takes a break. Here are your covers :goodvibes:

These are all so awesome! Now that I have decided to make some for my kids and my friend's kids I don't know where to start. Is it better to have character pages or blank pages? Maybe some of both? We are going in August so I have some time :)

It really depends on which you like better. If you want something less complicated, look through the photobuckets of the folks in post #1 and choose a few generic designs, print multiple copies of them, and bind them into a book. If you want something more individualized, print a page for each of the characters in post #2 and then add a few generic pages at the end (for unexpected characters). The DISigners are all so different that you could make a different style for each child if you wanted to. There is no right or wrong way to do it - just go with what you like! :goodvibes
