A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

Hello, I was wondering if you would be able to make three of your Halloween covers with MNSSHPS, 2011 & the names: Kayleigh, Jeannie and Ryan.

Thank you so much!!!

I had a question about the finished project. I finally printed off the cards on cardstock and wow was I shocked to find out my little stack was an inch thick. Now I'm starting to second guess myself and thinking a photobook might be a better choice. Did you find your book to be really thick and heavy, or once it was done and bound it wasn't that bad?

Musicmouse....love your DISsigns!!

Can I get 3 covers made. The one with all the parks and the year 2011
Noah - in green text
Owen - in blue text
Breelyn - in pink text

Also, can I get 3 done for the MNSSHP with the same names!

Thanks!!!

Thank you!!! You Rock! :cool1: I am so thankful that there is great talent like you out there :worship:

Have a quick question, Please don't kill me :guilty:I left out a small detail. We are going to 1900 Park Fare for breakfast & I was told that the stepsisters & Cinderella are not there but Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh & maybe Mary Poppins are there. Any chance you can change this? :confused3 I am sorry, but very grateful that you have helped me at all :cheer2:

Thank you MusicMouse. Don;t hate me but can I ask for one or two changes?
I had to cancel Garden Grill & Chef Mickey's. Can you replace those with either 1900 Park Fare (breakfast), Crystal Palace or Cape May Cafe?
I'm sorry. I forgot about those when I asked for the cover. :headache::love:

Don't feel too bad about cancelling Chef Mickey. While the character interaction was great while we were there, the food was mediocre at best (My DH's comment was "Kind of makes you long for Old Country Buffet, doesn't it?" :lmao:) Here's your new cover :goodvibes:

Hey there :) . Love your disigns!!! :thumbsup2 Us non-creative types are so appreciative of you folks who share your talents so generously.

Have you ever done Universal Studios autograph cards? I am looking for non-character-specific cards (4 x 6) for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Also a cover for our album for our Universal Studios/Seaworld/Discovery Cove trip coming up this winter. No names required on the cover, but it would be WONDERFUL if you could incorporate our travel dates on there somewhere (December 31st, 2011 to January 7th, 2012).

Any help you are willing to provide is greatly appreciated! You are awesome!
:goodvibes

I'm sorry, but I only do Disney DISigns. If you are looking for Universal cards, I think there are some DISigners that have already done a few. Try using the Search feature for the Creative DISigns forum or put a new thread out on their main board. I'm sure that omeone will be able to point you in the right direction. :goodvibes

Yea, I'm not too heartbroken over Chef Mickey's, lol. It was just a tradition, we always ate their our 1st morning. But that's ok, I've got plenty of other character meals booked!! :lmao:
Thank you for the new cover!!

Here are your covers. I made an 8x8 for Aunt Bonnie - I hope you like it! :goodvibes

Music Mouse, for some reason even though I used 2 other covers you did for me, this one when I apply it into my photobook is a little too wide. I am using all the same options as my past ones. Is it possible that it was saved a little larger? Im not too familiar with this, but your 2 cents would be great!

EDIT
I just figured out that Kennedy's name is longer than my kids. So it appears wider. Is there any way to get a font just a point or 2 smaller maybe? Otherwise her K is off the front of the book.
TIA!!!!

My first book was just under 2 inches after it was bound (I got carried away and there was no handy thread to tell me which characters were going to be there ;)). It really wasn't bad to carry around, but I only had one. This time I am going to do an 8x8 photobook to cut down on thickness (more than one character per page), but again just one for the boys to share. If you already have the cards printed, I would just go for it and use them. The real advantage is that if there are characters that you don't see, you can take them out of the spiral binding at the end of the trip. You can't do that with a photobook :goodvibes

ETA: I see that you have stayed at Coronado Springs. We are trying it for the first time next spring. How was it? Did you like it?

I have a Noah, too! Here are your covers :goodvibes:

Thanks for showing me show to share!

And a HUGE thank you to MusicMouse for everything in this thread. All the info you collected on the first page allowed me to find so many great pages!

**************************************************

OK, so I finally have our 8x8 books done! (done unless some awesome new pages are posted before I actually order;) ) 2 books, both different for our 2 boys. I used pages from just about everyone, and some I made changes too myself or tweeked. Now I just need to get a 50% off code and then I will order!

Let me know what you think!

I love them. Where did you get your cover from? I would love one of those for my boy's book. Thanks!!

Hey MusicMouse, can I ask a question? You may not know the answer but I'm trying to figure it out before I order my autograph photobook.
Which fairies are currently meeting with Tink? I read that it's only her & a friend at the Adventureland Terrace & that they rotate between only a few of them. The only pics I've seen lately are Tink with either Vidia or Rosetta. I don't want 2 pages of fairies if I'm only going to be able to get 2 or 3.
Any ideas or know where I can find out? :confused3

Thanks so much for everyone's hard work in this thread. You are all so creative and talented!!

I am trying some thing new for my trip in January. I purchased a 6x6 ring bound album with plastic sleeves. I am going to use the 4/6 cards and mount them on scrapbook paper. This way I will be able to put the cards in for just the parks we will be at that day, or the resturants. When I get home I will be able to put them all together. Will see how it works...

I am wondering if there was some way to fix the width of this so that the words don't run off the cover of my photobook....without losing quality. I need to get this ordered asap, takes 2 weeks to arrive.

Would it be possible for me to request a personalized autograph book cover? I would like the one with all the characters on the front (it is the one I have seen most commonly on this thread) with "John's Autographs" on it?

Thank you so much! And thank you to everyone who posted their books...it has given me lots of inspiration!!

I am not allowed to post a quote yet, but this is a reply to Honeystar regarding keeping your album cover from getting cut off around the edges.
I had this very same problem creating my books with artscow-I am going to put a step by step of what I did below to fix this problem. Someone else may have a better way to do it--but this was the only way I could figure out how to do it.
1. Go to Word and adjust the page size to the size of your photo album (my albums are 8X8)
2. Leave about a 1 inch margin around all sides.
3. Insert picture onto page and adjust so that it is centered with the one inch margin on all sides.
4. Use "alt" and "screen shot" keys to create a screen shot.
5. Go to "Paint" program on computer and post screen shot into paint.
6. Crop just the page with the picture in it (so that the rest of the screen is cut out) (I have two different computers and cropping was different on both, so you just have to figure out how to do this on your computer)
7. In paint, click on the color fill button (looks like a bucket of paint being poured), select a color that best matches your album cover and click on the border around your picture--it should fill in the entire border with the color you want.
8. Resize the picture--For artscow, I resized all my pictures to 3600 pixels by 3600 pixels. I found that even though this is large, it created the correct dpi when I put it into the document on artscow.
Now your main album cover should show and the edges that will be cut off will be the border you added. If some of the border remains, it should still look okay because you filled them in with a coordinating color.

I hope this helps and is not too confusing--this took me several days to figure out.
