A sign from God!!! The Mickey God!

I was driving to work this morning, while talking to my sister about excursions during our cruise next month when low and behold what did i see? The Huge Cheese Mickey! Weird, it was just sitting there in the parking lot of my bank. Sis said maybe they are visiting the Cherry Creek Mall (Denver) on their tour. We are going back tonight to see if the whole gang is there. There are 75 right?

Mickey Mouse 75th Anniversary


Big ears, white gloves and 15 outfits? Not the typical Cherry Creek North customer. However, as part of Mickey Mouse’s 75th anniversary, celebrities, artists and athletes created 75 statues that will be displayed in 10 cities for limited time viewings. And, Cherry Creek North will be home to the traveling collection “Celebrate Mickey 75 InspEARations” beginning in late August.

Join Mickey Mouse and Radio Disney on August 22nd from 1pm to 4pm for the unveiling, music, games and give-aways. Plus fun activities and treats from Triple-A Travel, Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Buena Vista Games, Kodak and Home Depot.

Mickey statues will be on display until October 21 for a self-guided tour. Statues of note include those designed by Elton John, Al Michaels & John Madden (Monday Night Football), Ellen DeGeneres and Bob Guiney (The Bachelor). One statue, “Rockin’ Mickey” created by Denver artist Mario Vaiana, will be auctioned off at Sotheby’s at the conclusion of the tour. All proceeds will benefit Colorado-based Newborn Hope. Haha...I have a weird story too....I was getting some things for our vacation.....Bandaids....ect...and all of a sudden I hear...HOT HOT HOT playing...I just snickered to myself..saying...that is the sign we are suppose to go!

I coulden't get that out of my head the whole day!

We are going to check out the Mickeys on my birthday Friday at Cherry Creek north. I had a heck of a time finding out when they were coming Denver's way......

It'll get me in the mood for our WDW trip and back to backs coming up next month!!! whhhhoooooo hooooooo!

I was in Chicago in July and they were visiting. My favorites were the Statue of Liberty, Notre Dame and Red/White/Blue Mickeys.

They going to Dallas this fall and I think I need to make trip!

been working at the gaylord texan in grapevine this week and found out that the mickeys will be there the 26th of august thru oct. i gues that they are splitting them up 15 at each location, i wonder if they will rotate them out and bring all 75 to each place. i will be working at the hotel next week and i'll definitely check them out and make some pictures, hopefully see the ones we missed at wdw last dec.
