Hi everyone,

I had posted last week about an issue I had with my room at the Boardwalk & wanted to know if in a similar situation, others might request a room change. On the advice of this board I did speak with concierge, who solved my issue by (unbeknownst to me at the time) upgrading me to club level. You can read all about my experience here if you like: https://www.disboards.com/threads/should-i-request-a-room-change.3694200/

What I really would like to say here though, is just how wonderful my interactions were with CM's at the Boardwalk during my trip, especially the CM's working on the club level lounge. It went beyond good service or even "Disney service", they were really good people plain & simple.

Unfortunately it is highly unlikely that I will be repeating this particular stay in the near future despite how wonderful it was. I am just not yet at the stage of life or income bracket that allows for club level, though I am young & have hope & the desire to work hard lol.

So in the event that I don't see my new friends too soon, if you are at the Boardwalk & come across Lorenzo or Joe in the club lounge, chef Reggie at the Flying Fish or in the club lounge, or John in maintenance, please know you are in good company! And tell them their Canadian friend has put the word out on their awesomeness lol.

If you use a mobility device & need any simple repairs I highly recommend asking for John as he was very helpful where others were not. I just needed some oil for a squeaky wheel so keep in mind I was comfortable just asking a handy-man rather than a specialized place, but still he was great and had lots of stories of his time working at WDW.

I do remember reading your thread and was so happy for your with how Disney resolved the issue! :)

I agree that the CMs at BWI are wonderful, and yes, the concierge staff in particular. And there aren't adequate words to describe what a treasure Chef Redgie is! He's clearly a man who loves his job and loves the people he creates meals for...he went well above and beyond the call of duty for us on our trip in April, even by Disney and BWI standards.

So glad that the rest of your stay ended up being wonderful! :)

So happy to hear you had a wonderful stay, after a rocky start.
I'm one of those that adores BWI CL, and is one of their regular family. We are going for our 4th visit this year in a month or so. I keep saying we are going to try something new but can't seem to bring myself to book elsewhere. I can't leave "the family"

When I read your post I wondered what Resort you were at. Glad to hear you got to experience my most favorite resort and club level at WDW! Chef Redgie is a treasure and a fantastic chef who has willing shared some cooking techniques with me. His talent and love of food is very contagious. As for Lorenzo and Joe, well, I have known Lorenzo for over 17 years, from when he first worked at the former Disney University Tree Houses! Joe has also become a good fried. My husband and I treasure our return trips to the BW to visit our second family there whenever we are able to get a good discount! We will be back in December of this year and February of next year!

Sorry about the issues you encountered, but glad things were addressed in a timely fashion. I agree, BWI CL is great! I had my first BWI CL stay last month and it was amazing, loved the CL CMs as they were all very friendly and welcoming any time we entered/were in the lounge. If any guest needed anything or just had a question, the CMs were always around willing to help. It was definitely a great experience! We're trying Poly CL in Oct, but I will definitely be back to BWI CL sometime :).

That's great to hear about how wonderful the CMs are. My DD and I check into the BWI CL on Saturday and are so excited!

You are in for a treat! Have a great trip :wizard:.

I'm so glad to hear that! Also that's cool you've known Lorenzo so long. My mum says he's "a big kid" lol which I would agree with, but it's all in a good way!

I am so glad you had a great stay once things were addressed and that the CMs were awesome. I had a CM at YC really go above and beyond for me last week, I was so appreciative of her and the time, care, and attention she put into her job.
