Once again we decided to go to Disney for the weekend. I was very sick on Friday and really didn't know if I was going to make it but luckily I woke up at 11am chipper and ready to go..of course my FDH(future dear husband) wasn't so easy to convince awake as he is suffering the same cold as I. We finally got up and out the door by 2pm arriving at the TTC at 3pm. Luckily there was a monorail waiting and off to EPCOT we went with no wait. Now Friday the 20th started the Flower and Garden Festival and I was dying to check it out so imagine my surprise when going through EPCOT on the monorail I really didn't see that many flowers or topiaries. I didn't let it bother me and we decided to check out Test Track as we have yet to try that. We get there and the Fast Pass return time was 9:15-9:55...hmmm intersting. The Park closes at 9pm right...oh well got them anyway. As we are walking to Mexico my FDH says to me that he does not want to stay in EPCOT till 9 as MK closes at 10 and he wanted to go there. Gotta love a man who wants to go to MK 2 weeks in a row..what a man!! :D So I said no problem not like we wont be back anytime soon. On a side note I had some trouble getting in the gate as my ticket was not reading right. Well when I got my Fast Pass it would not give it to me saying that I already had gotten a Fast Pass. A quick explanation and we had a pass right away. Back to the report, we had no wait for the boat ride in Mexico. When we got off though there was a 10 min wait..LOL. We then continued our trek and stopped in China. Nothing really caught our fancy and we were going to go to Norway but the bridge was up so we watched the acrobats for a bit..they were fun to watch. With the bridge back down we continued on to Norway but the line was outside and it was HOT so we skipped it. We continued on to Germany. We poked around a bit and watched a band playing and moved on again. Next stop, Italy. Once again we just browsed, looking for the promised amazing flower displays that seemed so hard to find. We continued on to America. Just a note that the during the festival there will be numerous people playing at the pavillion. A full list can be given upon request. Todays guest was The Turtles. Being the young'ens we are we had never heard of them..LOL. But next Saturday Davy Jones of Monkees fame will be playing. I loved the Monkees growing up and hoe to come back to see him. We then pressed on to Japan. Once again we walked around and browsed and moved on. We then strolled into Morroco. We were wandering around and my FDH was looking at a menu and I was just looking around and who did I see.....Aladdin! I yelled "Hey hon, its Aladdin!" and Aladdin said thats right and I will be back in 15 mins and he disappeared through a door. Well I wandered into where he came from and there was The Genie! I received a high five and we left-*Tip:In Morroco go all the way to the back to find charcters!!*- We then moved on to France. Once again the statues were out in force and we watched for a bit. I love the statues!! I have never seen the movie here so we decided to wait and see the 5:30 showing. It wasn't a full house but a lot of people can't be quiet..I did like the show though. By now it was close to 6pm and my tummy was rumbly so we exited via the Gateway and stopped at the ticket counter to discover that my ticket was de-magnatized. The guy was kinda rude and asked me where I kept my ticket. I told him in the jacked they provided and then in my purse in a seperate compartment. He asked if it was near a cell phone and I told him no. He then said keep it away from cell phones. I said whatever and we left. We then went to the Yacht Club and strolled looking for a food court type place. Remembering there was none we went back into EPCOT and bought a popcorn in Canada. Talk about horrible popcorn. YUCK. We ate what we could and fed the rest to the birds..I know, a big nono..oh well..they enjoyed it. We walked over to The Land and were going to wait for Living with the Land ride but the line was NOT moving. IMHO, Fast Pass was NOT necessary for this ride. Makes the ride times increase as all Fast Pass people fill the boats and no stand-by people ever get on. I never waited more than 10 mins to get on this ride pre-Fast Pass. Oh well..we decided to leave and head over to MK for the rest of the night. We did stop at Ice Station cool and tricked a few kids into drinking Beverly. I also tricked FDH into it before and he enjoyed paying it back to unsuspecting children. He can be so evil sometimes. On the way out Spaceship Earth was a walk-on so we hopped on. Then it was over to MK. Now before I start on the MK part of the report let me just reflect on the Flower and Garden Festival. I was highly disappointed with the lack of flowers and topiarys. I really expected more. Maybe I missed it but I was just not impressed. Maybe it still has to bloom. I don't know. I will look again when we go back.

On to the MK. We arrived and headed right into Adventure Land. We walked through the Swiss Family Treehouse which should be named the Swiss Family Staircase..LOL. We then skipped Jungle Cruise as it was a 45 min wait. We the went on Pirates of the Carribean which was a walk on. Of course the family behind us had to talk the whole ride. How annoying. We then went to the Columbia Harbor House and got some food. I love this restaurant. We then skipped the Haunted Mansion and went to Tommorow Land and saw Space Mountain was a 75 min wait so we skipped it and went on the Peoplemover. After our Tomorrowland tour we went on Buzz for the first time. I liked it a lot but my gun wasn't working to well and I only got 15,000 and my FDH got 45,000. Next time I am going to do the spinning. We then went over and rode the Speedway. By now it was 10 mins til closing and we wanted to do Splash so we headed over that way. Unfortuantly a bathroom break and the fireworks starting caused us to not make it in time and sadly it was closed. :( Oh well. We headed back toward Main Street and sat at the exit of Advetureland and watched as TONS AND TONS of people reluctlantly exited. We waited for the Kiss Goodnight but by 10:35 we were ready to leave and never saw it. My other complaint was they were running the vaccums and we couldn't even hear the music playing as we exited. I was NOT PLEASED at this. I would have complained but there was a HUGE line at Guest Services. So out we headed. Now I have been to MK numerous times but I was completly amazed at what I saw ahead of me. There was an hour wait to get on the express monorail!!! The line was HUGE!!!! I could not beleive it. The ferry was no better. So we went up and hopped on the mostly empty resort monorail.-*TIP:When leaving MK use the resort monorail instead of the express. It is less crowded and goes to the same place as express.*-
We then decided to go to Grand Floridian and then walk back to TTC. We took a nice lesuirly stroll in the dark along the peaceful path and arrived back at our car promptly at midnight and headed home.

All in all it was a fun day. I was a bit disappointed with the Flower Festival and was disappointed with MK closing so early when it was still very full and many people seemed reluctant to leave for the day. But hey, what do I know. Until Next time, this has been a Saturday in WDW.

I really enjoy reading your day trip reports! Thanks for sharing all the info. I am surprised about the EPCOT Flower Show though. Maybe they were just setting up? I would disappointed if I came especially to see it! Usually we go in May and it is in full force! Can't wait to read your next trip report when you go!

Thanks for the trip report. I dream about being close enough to just hop over for the day. Oh, well, maybe one day. Great report.

And a great Saturday it was, too!

How great to live close enough to WDW so that you can visit for one day and skip the lines that are too long :)

I had a lot of fun reading this, thanks for posting.
