A perfect MK morning despite the heat and humidity!

Tuesday 9/10/24

FP for Cash on deck.

9-10 Pirates

10-11 Tiana’s Bayou

11-12 HM

We had a little breakfast in the room and headed out to the bus stop. We didn’t wait long and the bus wasn’t overly packed. We each had a seat. Yay

Our first ride today was Buzz, we were on the ride right before 9am.

Andi was a galactic hero again! Is it even fun anymore?Judging by her smile I guess so.

We rode PM next and look I got the obligatory foot picture.

CoP next, it was only a little after 9 and we were on our third attraction. There were very few people in CoP, I wonder why, haha, not many rope drop CoP!

It was a great reprieve from the heat. Plus we all love CoP!

It was time to head to Adventure Land for Pirates.

I see the lady in front got my memo to give the peace sign. We love this ride, it never gets old! Do I dare say it is a close second to my beloved Dinosaur, yes, I think I will!

Tiana’s was up and running this morning and it was time to ride. I was able to make another FP and I found Peter Pan Flight for around 12:00. Our wait for Tiana was less than 15 minutes. If you can get a FP it is the way to go. The VQ line looked huge and averages about 45-60 minute wait.

I took more pictures on the ride today. I love the music and the story. I do miss the OG Splash but I am not upset about it or holding any type of grudge.

We got off In Storybook Circus and rode Dumbo with an immediate FP$$.

I was able to get a WtP FP next, on our way over there we did Under the Sea, the wait was only 10 minutes and it was basically a walk on.

WtP was up next, I love this ride!

Next we had our HM FP and enjoyed our ride with the 999 ghosts! The girls were showing off their rings to the ghosts and I was doing the good old peace sign. Again!


PPF was our last ride in the park today. Such a perfect ride to end our MK morning with! We made our way to the front of the park and made plans to head over to Riviera to a favorite lounge of ours Bar Riva. Bye MK, see ya real soon!




We took the Riviera bus and it was blissfully empty at this time of day.

We got to the Riviera and headed to Bar Riva. We found a nice high top table. The place was not real busy. I could see the pool area from our seats and it was busy! People trying to cool off this afternoon.

We had a wonderful CM wait on us.

I had the

Italian Sangría Rosso
A Blend of Italian Wines mixed with Fresh Fruit and Specialty Juices

Andi had the

Sunset Margarita
Teremana Blanco Tequila, Grand Marnier Liqueur, Smoked Chili Bitters, Lime, and Agave

Kait was brave and got the

Strawberry Margarita
Herradura Reposado Tequila, Strawberry and Lime

After our brain freezes the night before I was staying away from a frozen drink!

We decided to share several appetizers

The Parmesan Herb fries, I love these! A little tip, these are not on the lounge menu but you can ask for them, because the fries are on the Primo Piatto menu.



Seasonal Arancini

Seasonal Risotto, Cheese, and Truffle served with House-made Marinara, these are delicious



Chicken Strips

Choice of Parmesan-Garlic Sauce or Chipotle-Agrodolce Sauce with Truffle Aïoli. Yummy and the best chicken strips I have had on property!

Bar Riva is another favorite lounge of ours! It is right up there with Nomad Lounge, Baseline, and Geyser Point.

Lounge life for me!

We walked through the resort and I picked up my favorite cold brew ever! The Almond Honey cold brew. This is delicious. The whipping cream is housemade with honey! I sipped on this as we made our way back to the BWI via the Skyliner!

Stay tuned for a solo evening for me and a dinner date for the girls!

Not only am I surprised that CoP opened at 9am, rather than a little bit later. But the fact that you weren't the only ones is also amazing.

We love this ride, it never gets old!

We always make sure to do Pirates every trip, Your ride picture is really good.

Pickle Juice everywhere!

The girls have a dinner date at The Edison at 7:30. They headed to DS around 6pm. They planned on getting a moonshine at Homecomin before dinner. They also went to the outside bar at the Planet Hollywood and had some drinks during the happy hour. Andi said the prices were good and hardly anyone there. They enjoyed it.

The girls headed to their dinner at The Edison. There was live entertainment and the girls really enjoyed this.

They decided to share fried pickles and a spicy chicken sandwich.



They enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.

Meanwhile I headed to DHS on the boat. It was threatening rain later so my goal was to do a few things at DHS before the rain. ️

I had made a FP for MMRR, TSMM, and Aliens SS.

I headed back after my rides and stopped at The Blue Ribbon Corndogs.

I decided on the pickle corn dog

Pickle Dog

All-Beef Hot Dog wrapped in a Dill Pickle, fried in Cornmeal Batter, rolled in Panko Bread Crumbs. Served with peanut butter and a bag of chips.

I said no to the peanut butter, didn’t make sense to me.

I brought the corn dog back to the room.

My verdict, it was okay. I didn’t like the overwhelming pickle theme. I think next time I would just get a regular corn dog or one of the other specialty ones. The pickle juice dripped out of the corn dog all over the place, ugh! I was glad I put a towel under it!

The girls got back around 10pm and we settled in for our last night at the resort.

Stay tuned for our last morning at WDW. We spend the time in Epcot.

The peanut butter just sounds really gross with a pickle, yuck How funny you don’t eat anything green haha I love so many green things. I do like pickles but this was a huge thick pickle in the corn dog, too much for me. It was a nice evening to spend solo and the girls had a nice time.

Pickles again

Wednesday 9/11/24

Today was our last morning at WDW. We did have FP+
on deck for Remy, LwtL, and SE. Andi and I had a fancy ride $$ for GotG.

The plan was Remy at 9am.

We packed up, had a little breakfast, and called Bell Service to store our luggage. Bell service did come fairly quickly so that was good. They will put cold items in the refrigerator for storage. I was happy about that.

We looked over the room and made sure we had everything before heading out to Epcot.

I love walking to Epcot from BWI. It such a nice walk on the Boardwalk.

We entered Epcot and rode Remy first thing. It was a fun

We stopped for a PhotoPass picture in France!



Journey of Water.

It wasn’t too crowded and the girls enjoyed trying some of the water features.

I do like this area and see something new each time I walk through it.

We did the Seas with Nemo

Another picture of Kait and Andi at Journey of Water.

After SE, it was time to try a few more food booths. The F&W booths were just starting to open up. We divided and conquered.

I waited at the Fry Booth for Adoba Yuca Fries with garlic cilantro aioli.

Andi and Kait went into the Odyssey building for the Brew Wing Lab to pick up the Fried Pickle Spears with dill ranch and the hard cider elderberry Serrano, and the palm paradise Hefeweizen. They gave the girls the pickle cider free because they made a mistake thinking they had ordered this. Thank goodness it was free, it was really gross. Enough pickles already, haha


The fried pickles and yuca fries were very good.

The girls picked up the potato and pea samosa with coriander lime cream. They liked this.

I had to get my beloved favorite at the Hawaii booth

Slow-roasted pork slider with sweet and sour dole pineapple chutney and spicy mayonnaise. This was delicious and continues to be a favorite of mine.

My picture didn’t turn out good but believe me it was yummy!

Our last ride was Guardians.

Kait waited in Connections for us. We had the Blondie song One way or another. Still no September for me. It is the only song I haven’t had.

Despite the look on my face I had a good time.

It was time for us to head back to BWI to get our luggage and take a Lyft over to Portofino Bay for HHN!

Did you happen to get photo of Marley before he was retired to his private Paradise ?
He was a giant crocodile living back there in Dino dogs area. Talk about scary lizards ! My one and only picture of Marley is terrible and would love if you shared something better.
( This is true but my adult son & myself had just moved to Florida and was standing at waters edge wondering where an alligator would hide as we looked across to the golfers …and then we looked down at waters edge and guess what was sleeping at waters edge by our feet. Then we took out our cellphones to take pictures!
I am so amazed we are still alive I sometimes think I am probably not really alive cause no way that really happened but it did and I will be forever never be that stupid again ) The other thing I fear in Florida everyday is anybody driving on the road in Florida especially near WDW. Not sure what’s worse castmember s late for schedule or tourists in wrong lane !
And I love the Grinch morethan Mickey Mouse during the holidays!

Journey of Water.

This is a fun area. Just don't go there when you don't want to get wet, like on a cold day. But it is perfect for kids.

We saw the Harvest display last week and I thought that they had forgotten to take down a Halloween decoration.

Slow-roasted pork slider with sweet and sour dole pineapple chutney and spicy mayonnaise. This was delicious and continues to be a favorite of mine.

This is one of my favorite F&W foods. I love kalua pork and would eat it when we would go to Hawaii.
