To the moderators, I appologize if this post is misplaced, or not proper at all. I'm a little raged at the moment.

DW and I were to leave for a southern journey in six days, culminating with a week in Disney. DW is 23 weeks pregnant. Due to complications from a condition called placenta privia, she has just been sent by chopper to a facility for neo-natal care. Although we were aware of the privia, this came as quite a shock today. Obviously, the vacation is no longer a priority, nor realistic.

However, by taking advantage of this oportunity, someone can do me a favor. We have a reservation from Friday June 6 through Thursday June 12 at the Courtyard Marriott Village. As it's through Priceline, it's non-refundable. If there's anything that would make this stink worse, it would be that hotel room being empty in our absence.

I'm offering this room to anyone that can take advantage of it. It isn't for sale, it's free to a good home. It would give me some joy to know that someone's getting use of it, and can enjoy Disney in our proxy. I still have to work out the details with Priceline and Marriott, but I believe I can add another name to the room. The only thing I ask is a detailed trip report. And you have to spend at least one evening in the AC and have a Kungaloosh punch for me. Again, it's an honest, for real offer. No money is asked, and I won't take it if it's offered.

If anyone can take advantage of this on short notice, send me a PM. First come, first serve. We'll exchange phone numbers and work out the details.

I'll also take any prayers, good wishes, or whatever you do in times of crisis. I'll even take a knock on wood.

All my best,

Pat

Pat - What a wonderful offer, I hope your good intentions go to someone deserving. I was thinking maybe contact Make-A-Wish Foundation, could they use something like that? Sorry to hear about your wife's complications, I'll certainly keep your family in my prayers. I hope and pray all goes well.

How incredibly generous of you!!

I will be praying with all my might for you and your family.. Please keep us informed - as best you can..

Hugs to all..

what a wonderful and generous offer!!

My prayers are with you!!

Best wishes to your wife I will keep her in my thoughts.

FYI - with a doctors note, priceline will refund the money. My SIL was suppose to go with us three years ago and got put on bedrest 4 days prior to the trip. With the note and phone calls, they got a full refund.

Good luck
Sandy

Here comes prayers for a healty baby, Prayers that he will wait 17 more weeks to be born and prayers that if he comes early that he will fight hard and do well. My DS was born at 24 weeks, and though it was a fight, he is a happy healthy kid who will be 11 in 2 weeks and is lying awake in the room next door too excited to go to sleep because he and his best buddy are going fishing tomorrow. Keep the faith and start planning a trip for his first birthday.

Prayers for you and your family.....

Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your wife. Keep in touch and let us know how your little girl and wife are doing.

That is a very generous offer, and so nice of you.

To All,

I'm overwelmed by the messages above and the several PM's I've received. We're a weird bunch, aren't we? Stuck here 2 hours from my wife and not allowed to see her until 8 AM tomorrow morning, naturally I come home and log on to Disboards. It was obviously the wise move. There's a lot of good people out there. To those that answers posts like these and haven't had to make one themself, never underestimate the service you provide to someone that's in full-blow freakout.

Based on your comments and a couple on Bidding For Travel, I am going to attempt to get a refund from Priceline tomorrow. The money right now just doesn't seem that important, but I'm not one to leave close to three hundred bucks on the sidewalk if I don't have to. Anyone is still encouraged to PM me if you think you could use the room. If I'm unsuccessful tomorrow, it's still my wish that they get used.

Again, I appreciate the kind comments, keep them coming. My faith is a strong plant, but water and sunshine don't hurt. I'll update here from time to time. I just spoke to my wife. She's in good spirits and is stable. She also thinks I'm nuts taking my woes to a Disney BBS. She's getting there, but she's still not "one of us."

Pat

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers tonight. I know you must be worried sick, try to keep the faith. Lacee

Both my nieces were premies...32 wks (now 11 going on 21) and 36 wks (now 5 and as much a Disney nut as her auntie).

I wish you and your wife the best - my prayers are with you, too.

My prayers are with you & your wife and your little baby. This will be a great story to tell when he/she grows up big & strong.

Good luck with Priceline as well. I totally understand that the money is the furthest thing from your mind right now but just think of all the stuff you can buy when you go later this year (you know you will - it's too hard to pass up the cute baby stuff at WDW.

The coming weeks until delivery will seem like an eternity for you both. I hope everything goes well. :D

Pat, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Help your wife keep her spirits up and good things will happen. Was there ever a better time for faith and trust and pixie dust? Hang in there, your daughter will appreciate your strength and generosity for many years.

My prayers are with you. My oldest was a 32 week preemie. She is now a beautiful 25yo woman.

Good stuff happens to good people, you seem like an exceptional one. Best of luck to you and your wife/child.

You are so kind to make this offer! Good luck with Priceline and best wishes to your and your wife and your little one. Please keep us posted.
