Hi I been reading your ptr for last three weeks. Sorry it took so long to catch up. First off want to say I love your plans. You have a great writing style. Sorry to hear about your Dad. Your going to have a blast doing this trip to honor him by remembering what a great daughter you have become. I'm sure he is very proud to be your dad. As for your health problems it seems to be one thing on top of another. Hope your visit with your doc clears up what is wrong so they can treat it. I had different problems a year or so ago then one small thing came up and everything went away. I think as for Disney they need to read this ptr and rethink your private dinner in the park and show you the true Disney Magic. Girl you deserve it with this last year. I feel like there was more I want to say just not sure what. Can't wait to hear the rest.
Sandy
Thank you, Sandy! The doctor's appointment yesterday was good just in the sense that we figured out what WASN'T wrong... if that makes any logical sense.

We're giving an antibiotic course a go to see if maybe it's some bacterial infection, and hoping for the best. Luckily, the only thing that showed up on the MRI was something we were already aware of (a growth on my pineal gland....which isn't operable anyway and only affects my sleep cycles...) so there was a BIG sigh of relief once we got those results back.
I guess Disney has to run a business same as everyone... I'm just happy we're going on this amazing trip, and spending some hard earned time off celebrating our marriage, and my dad's amazing gift of introducing me to Disney all those years ago.
Oh no am sorry to hear about the earthquake but am glad that you, DH and the cats are all safe. Hope the damage to your house can be fixed. Keep safe
Thanks, sweetie!

Things are calming down now, the aftershocks are so minor, the one that woke me up last night I didnt even realize what it was until I heard the news this morning! Perhaps I'm ready for California living afterall.... hmm...actually....no, no I'm not.
I was thinking about you this afternoon...with the eathquake and being in Virginia....glad everyone is ok...a few people in my office felt it up here in MA, but I didn't

and a co-worker has a son in New Hampshire and he felt it as well...
so I can only imagine how strong it was for you....
hope you get good news at the Dr's tomorrow....sending

your way
Thank you! They are coming to inspect our building today, I think... so everything seems to be fine! Quite a scary day, though, no matter what!
Wow!!! Now this!?!
Sorry about the damage and the anxious cats (how are they doing now?). Glad you are ok, though and that there doesn't seem to be major earthquake damage.
I did not feel the shaking, but my husband did. He works in Cambridge MA.
I am starting to feel like a Disney commercial, but a twisted version. "You've survived losing your dad, multiple sugeries, month long cases of hives, earthquakes, and hurricanes! What are you going to do next?"
"Why, I'm going to Disney World!"
It works, in a strange way.....
Kitties are fine, but the aftershock last night had them under the covers with me.... poor little babies, I hope it doesn't happen again or I may need to send them to a kitty shrink!

Glad you're all ok. Hopefully the damage is minimal and can be easily fixed. Who would've ever thought there'd be an earthquake on the East coast?!
The little tremor we had, oh, about two years ago, that was my idea of an east coast earthquake. I know have a totally different opinion of them! We're all really bummed about the buildings / monumnents that did see damage (Washington Monument, National Cathedra, Smithsonian Castle) but hopefully it can all be fixed, and we have to remind ourselves, it could be worse.
As it is we're preparing for the hurricane now.... not for a massive storm, but making sure we get our groceries BEFORE tomorrow, when everyone in the DC / Northern Virginia area will buy out all the toilet paper, milk, and beer in the stores. It's tradition.
My only real concern at this point is massive wind and rain (probably all we will get, nothing major) showing more damage the earthquake left that we weren't aware of.
Mike and I are planning a Phineas and Ferb Netflix marathon this rainy weekend, along with packing, of course!
Glad to hear you are okay after the earthquake.
Thank you!!!
Omigoodness, so glad you guys are ok

Hope the furbabies aren't too ruffled.
That damage doesn't look too bad, but keep an eye on it
We are, I'll be watching our skylights this weekend with all the rain expected, buckets ready just in case
Furbabies are mostly ok, though Bailey has taken it upon herself to blame me for the 'quake, insisting I feed her more soft cat food to make up for it.
And now, the story I promised you all:
So, Mike and I currently work at the same company, even on the same floor. I just happened to be in his office when the quake started, which is kind of funny, since I hardly see him at all when we're at work!
Standing in his doorway, the first thing I think is "construction", followed quickly by "uh oh"... then the second (and stronger) shaking started, and I looked at Mike, said "Get under your desk NOW"....
.....then proceeded to push him aside to get under his desk myself.
I am never going to live that down....
