We just got back from 4 nights at WL. This is by far, our favorite resort! We were in room 3111 facing the inner courtyard.

Here are some pics of our view:

Added - We also got a towel "Animal." A Mickey! It was our first (and only) towel animal. It was cool!

Me and DD - she's trying to get that Mickey!

The CM's were great, the resort looked pristine, Roaring Fork and WCC were good. My only minor complaint was that one night one of the two big boats was in the dry dock and we waited about 40 minutes for a boat. The buses were GREAT! We only waited 5 minutes, tops for buses to Epcot, DD and MGM.

We had a blast and I think I'll surprise my family next October with another long weekend at the Lodge for MNSSHP!!!

Glas you had a great trip! As you can see from my signature, we love the WL too!

Welcome back, and I'm glad you had a great trip! :sunny: We loved the WL too :) I like your first picture, I can see the balcony of our room in it! On the very top left of the picture, it's the balcony on the very end of the top floor (on the highest part of the green roof, closest to the corner of your picture, not the corner way down towards the lake). :)

We just returned from there on 10/05. We had a wonderful time, its now our favorite!!! We stayed in room 6129. I am now downloading pics, I'll post some later!!! It was also our honeymoon, and so romantic!

SeaSpray,

Like you, we love WL and the Polynesian. I'm working on a Halloween trip for '06 and I want to stay at the Polynesian. Those new rooms are calling to me! Of course, the trip will be a surprise because DH wants to "wait" ubtil 2007. I know in his heart, he wants to go again before that, so I'm already scheming to surprise him!

I can't wait to read your report of your upcoming Polynesian trip! Have a great time!! Enjoy Hawaii and the new rooms!

Anne

We love WL too. We'll be staying there after our 'Wonder'ful cruise in December. Cannot wait to get home.

This year we have a courtyard view. :wizard:

Great pictures, what a cutie you have!

I too loved WL, you have brought back great memories.

Welcome Back!!! I remember your last trip report and really enjoyed it so am looking for more from this trip & pics too (if you have them). :flower:

Thanks for the review and pictures. I am glad you enjoyed your trip. It looked like you and your DD were having fun.

The pics were great, I can't see enough pics of WL. We will be there in Dec. for our first time at the Lodge. The pics of the towel Mickey had me cracking up. We are taking my DD fiance for his first time at Disney since he was very young. He thinks my DD and I have lost it with all the planning since the beginning of the year. One thing that he keeps joking about is the towel animals. I told him if he was lucky he may get a flying squirrel. We are going to lay a washcloth out flat on the bed and tell him that is what it is. Your baby is adorable. I am so glad you had a wonderful time. :disrocks:

Hi we love WL too and always stay there, its a great resort. We'll be staying there on the 15th of December can't wait.

P.S.
Your view was really awsome :earseek: :earsboy:

This is just getting me more excited!!! :Pinkbounc  We're staying there in Jan for our first time I can hardly wait!

Thanks for the review and the great pics. Just when I think I can't get anymore excited about our upcoming trip, I see new pictures of the WL and I manage to get more psyched! :flower:  :flower:

Great Pics.

We stayed at the WL and though we liked the hotel well ennough we absolutely could NOT STAND the Transportation.

We had booked because they make it sound so convenient that you have the boats. But we nearly tore our hair out when the boats would go to FW first before heading off to the MK. And we had already waited up to 30 minutes in the first place.

We would not stay there again!

Although we had some minor issues with the boats this time, overall I would say that we don't have a problem with the transportation. Also, the route of the boat switches half way through the day. In the morning the boats go MK, FW, WL, MK...after 3 or 4pm they go MK, WL, FW, MK...But I guess if you're anxious to get to the MK it can feel like it's forever. No matter what resort we stay at, we're just happy to be in Disney and we look at the ride to the park as part of the adventure. DS and I sing songs or look at the pictures on the buses and we all talk about what we're going to do once we get to our destination for the day. I'm not trying to start a battle here. Please don't take it that way. I am just pointing out our side of it and how we deal with those minor inconveniences. You always can rent a car and drive to your destination, too.

Anyway, sorry to ramble! I'm glad everyone is liking my pics and review. Hopefully I'll get my trip report done tomorrow. I don't have work, but I'm sending the kids to day care so I can get some stuff done around the house - including my trip report! ;)

Our issue was that the transportation was supposed to be a "selling point" : "Boats right to the MK...what could be easier...so fast." That is what the Reservations Agent told me about why I should book the WL.

I don't mind inconveniences that I am told about. But when something is presented as a REASON for buying something and the REASON turns out to be false and an actual NEGATIVE its not something that I can pretend to be happy about.

We went to the MK at night. We did not find heading in the wrong direction fun at all, the time it took was rediculous!

The boats are never presented in Disney literature as "fast". You either have a misinformed travel agent or got an uninformed CM.

WDW is just like other premium service providers in our economy: If something is important enough that it warrants putting the word REASON in all-caps;), folks are well-advised to always get it guaranteed in writing. If a premium service provider is unwilling to put a detailed specification in writing, then be prepared for the actual product or service to vary from the verbal description as much as allowed by law.

I have always looked at the boats as part of the fun. I don't have to rent a boat to go out on Bay Lake. We will be staying at WL for the 2nd time 11/24-11/29. It is one of our favorite hotels! When you consider cost as compared to the other Deluxe Resorts what you get for your money is amazing! The theming can't be equaled.
