A request for a Classic Post - Webmasters Pete and Alex, can you help?

I tried checking in something called the "wayback machine" where this person is trying to archive the internet. Unfortunately, they didn't archive bb posts. :( I could get to the point of the listing of Community Board, Inspiration Board, Archives, Classics, but when trying to go to a board itself, it said that level wasn't archived. :(

Now, would there be a tape backup from that timeframe? I wouldn't be certain that post would be backed up there, but that would be a possibility... wouldn't it?

this was on the infopop boards. It was found in December 2001 but the original was on the boards before that.

I laughed till I cried on that one. I’ll never forget the lady in the white spandex looking like a bratwurst. That whole corn thing. A real classic.

I tried to save it in my email but alas when the crash came so did the thread.

I do have the following information when I hit properties - hope this helps.

i know i read that thread and the story with robin's stinky grandma and i only showed up here in early 2001 so it had to have been around sometime after that, in some form...

I saw it too and only registered in March of 2001.

Well, maybe I am wrong. Or maybe there were two.

I'll make sure Alex sees this, he probably would know if this thread can be obtained or not.

I'd love to read that thread again. Hope it can be found.

Hi everybody..... The last time I found the old thread from the old board it was because nothing off the board was deleated yet (but i had to find another way to get in because none of the direct links would lead me there). I'll try looking a bit later tonight when there are less people online (make searching alot faster and easyer for me). No promises though.....

but as for me, I've been around working and what not, and hanging out on other boards.... its nice that i'm still remembered  :bounce: :D

Hi jimmy! Nice to see you again . . .

wdw4us, when I hit that link, I just get the "Page cannot be displayed" message :( :( :(

Thanks, everyone, who responded and is searching.

Here's hoping that this thread can be found, somehow . . .

well it's possible it is still here. The archives go back to 04-28-2001. The problem is that the search engine for the archiv's REALLY stinks.
There are over a 1000 pages of community board posts to look through...
The archives are located at www.disboards.com\showarchiv.php

that link IS to the old infopop board but I thought most of that stuff came over. The problem is there is no way to get there directly from that link....

Alex - the search seems to just work on titles and when I get the search complete and try to go to the next page it defaults back to the 2000+ posts. is there a way around that?

I got the same thing.... that search is an add on hack and I don't know much about it. I will look

Did anyone notice that in the link Leota said that she was printing it out? We need to get a hold of her!
