What do you mean you are not coming with us??

We overslept. I have planned to be on the bus for the Magic Kingdom 8:30 am, instead, I was just crawling out of bed. Up, Up, UP! come on! we're late, late, late! The Pre-Schooler, Youth & MagicalDad are up& ready in no time. Where's the Teen? She's still hiding under her blankets, refusing to move. Come on Teen, it's Magic Kingdom day! The whole reason we come! Remember what I said about the castle being extra, extra pretty this year??? Come on, we're late!

She refuses to move. There is nothing we can do to talk her into coming with us. I give up. We leave her MagicalDad's cell phone & 10.00. That should be more than enough money for her lunch. My heart breaks into a zillion pieces as I realize we are going to be walking through the gates of the Magic Kingdom without a member of our family. I pause for a nanosecond of mouring & we are off & running!

We hit the gates at 9:30. Breeze through quickly & DH runs to get a stroller for the pre-Schooler. The Youth stops us dead in our tracks "Make it a double stroller" he calls out. A double stroller? What? Your 9 years old, you can walk just fine. UGh, it must be his turn to whine. They take turns you know. The Youth insists that everyone else his age gets a stroller. Fine we'll get it.

Our first stop is Wendy & Cruella. Huh? Who coupled those two up? Strange pair huh? The boys wait in line until it's their turn. The Youth isn't too big on getting his picture taken with the characters anymore, but we never see Cruella & he excitedly hops in line. Well, Cruella sure is the pleasant one. The Youth stands in front of her & The Pre-Schooler stand in front of Wendy. The Cruella starts. "Ohhhhh I love your hair" she exclaims as she runs her fingers through the Youth's hair. " Ohhhhh I just want to spike it & dye it!" she gets loader & luder, completely embaressing the Youth. "Oh My look you have dimples too! So cute! Look you're turning red? Why?" By this point the Youth is pretty upset & stomps off. I snap a quick pic & run after him.

Wow! 5 minutes into the park & the excitement has started already.

Next I spot the Mayor! I'd never met him before & just had to have my picture taken. No one else in the family cared too much for him, but I was just tickled!

Okay, enough of that picture taking. We came herewith a purpose & off we go. First we head to Stitch for our fast passes. Then we run over to Buzz. The back to Stitch to use our fast pass.

I take this oppurtunity to explain to the Pre-Schooler that this may be scarey. It will be dark & stinky. He insists on going anyways. So off we go.

While in line I saw the only Disser that I saw all week. I considered saying hello. Then the boys started getting a bit active & I though. Yep, I'd be the talk of the Dis if this got out. Anyways, this Diser had a backpack with lime green Home Depot Mickey heads on the back with the letters D, I & S on each one. If you're reading, Hi!!! I'm the Mom of those 2 wild boys! :)

Now, back to the rides. The boys loved Stitch. We we got off I sprinted accross the way to ride Space Mountain. I walked right on. MagicalDad took the boys on the Tomorrowland Transit & they were able to see me boarding the ride. When I excited Spacemountain I noticed that the wait time was now 40 minutes! :rotfl2: People were actually standing there waiting. It's not nice to laugh, I know. Butit amazes me that so many people will stand in line for so long.

Next Magicaldad & the boys ride the race cars whil I run as fast as I can to the haunted mansion to obtain our fast passes. I arrive there hot, sweaty & exhausted only to find out that it is closed for the day with no plans to open. Ugh! I was too worn out to complain & walked back to meet the rest of my gang.

Next we rode the caurosel, tea cups, Philharmagic, & Peter pan.

Breaking for lunch at Pinnochios, I decided to call & check on the Teen. She's awake now. feeling much better. Great! Hop on the bus to the Magic kKingdom & meet us. She refuses, sure that she'll get lost. Come on hon, it's easy. Just get on the bus that says Magic Kingdom. She still refuses. Honestly, she'll be 14 next month. She wants to get her license in 2 years. If she's this uncomfortable taking a bus, I don't feel too comfortable letting her drive. Well, the boys are hot & grouchy. Everyone feels that they need time to RELAX, again!

By 2:00 we are heading back to the room. The good thing about the Teen staying behind is that we can call her on our way back & tell her to meet us at the food court with our refillable cups. That was quite nice. :)

Up next, The pizza they deliver tastes so much better than the pizza you pick-up!

Your trip reports are hilarious! Thanks for sharing them with us. I can't wait to read more! :teeth:

Your reports sound like an echo of my family  My son was 15 when we went in 97 and talk about moody times - altho I remember those years (vaguely) and surprised he even went at all. I recall the only times he had an upside down smile was when we all got together for dinner each night (all of us meaning 12 family members).

Looking forward to your next report! :earsgirl:

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

I have just read all the reports up to now and gotta say, possibly the funniest ever! Many a parent will know exactly how you were feeling this vacation and thank you for writing your account with such wit and humour. Now i just need you to write some more, if your kids give you a break. How is your summer school vacation going? Hope its better than mine! :rotfl:

Many thanks,
Claire xx
