Recently we picked up a car in Miami to drive to WDW. The reservation had been made for a full-size car on the Emerald Aisle, back before the changeover to Emerald Reserve.
Back in the past, the rates for full, standard and intermediate cars were usually the same for EA reservations, so I had reserved a full-size. When I arrived in Miami, I called National to verify if I should get my car from the EA, or if I should now go to the full size aisle. What I was told was that my service was still EA, but my rate was now the higher full-size rate.
Fortunately, I was able to get the intermediate rate by changing the car class on my reservation. (And in the end, I did get a full-size car on the aisle.)
Since I didn't need a full-size car, and since arguing isn't good for me, I didn't really worry about the situation. It was, though, probably an error on National's part.
