I'm heading south tomorrow...flying down on Delta. I may be looking at AirTran for my flight home some time next week. I won't be booking it until tomorrow or Wednesday, when I see what the situation is in Florida. I have never flown AirTran before.....so, is there anything I need to watch out for, or to worry about??? Any tricks I should know about??

nothing major, if you want to guarantee a seat, it is anywhere from $6-$20 per seat, per flight. They charge $15 each bag. If you do book your flight on-line and need to make a change, I believe you have 4 hours to make that change on line to avoid penalty ( which is $75) If you need help by phone, it can still be done in the 4 hour window, but you will probably get hit with an additional $15 "service fee" for booking by phone vs on line, but better than paying $75!
They seems to run as timely as most other airlines, they have a hub in Atlanta that a lot of connecting flights link at. 'Also, just make sure ( and since you will be booking close to departure it sounds, this may not be an issue) to double check your flight time, AT has been known to change people times a lot, and also from non-stop to connecting flights...but that usually occurs at least a few weeks out, and if it is not to your liking you can opt out of the flight....however the catch is trying to book something else last minute at a decent rate.
