Since we're going in Dec, should we do Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party or the Candlelight Processional Dinner package? We've never done either. The reason I'm posting the question here is......Do you have to go to the event to get the pins?
With MVMCP running an extra $33/person and the CPD starting at $25/person, I don't think I can swing both, unless I don't buy any pins during the entire week.......and that just isn't going to happen.

Hi,

I am pretty sure the MVMCP pins are only sold during the event. That is the only time I saw them for sale last year.

As far as which one to attend, it is really a personal choice. I have never been to the Candlelight Processional, but have heard that it is a beautiful and moving experience. For me, walking into the Magic Kingdom and seeing the snow falling on Main Street, USA is worth the price of admission!

Unless you are going to be there Christmas Eve or Christmas Day you can see the Processional without having the dinner package. Package people shouldn't fill the place on any other night.

Dear Daber,

I am going to go both, but heard that there was no pin for the Processional this year. I have one from last year if you would like to trade - I will bring it with me Tuesday.

I would choose the Merry Mickey Party over the Processional - actually they are two differenet and completely different things.

There is nothing like snow on Main Street.

I will be at the party on November 29 - Thursday - the first one and at the Processional on the 30th.

I can get you a Merrry Mickey Party pin if you want one.

See Ya Real Soon.

The crowd is growing for Tuesday.

Daber go to the MVMCP because that is tickets and if you are going to pay for one do that. Then go the processional in Stand-by seating. You will be there early enough not to worry....

I am going to try and do the processional maybe on my last day there... Not sure...

Because both my grand kids are singing in it thats why:p

Forget the pins (Did I say that) go for they sheer joy of hearing my angels sing (A shamless plug):D

By the by if you want to download a video of them singing last year with Gary Sinese at Candlelight go here.

There are two a short and a looooooong one.

Well we are doing both..

The Christmas Party because it is so special....and of course for the pins...it does snow nightly on Main Street
even when it isn't for the party..but you don't get the hot chocolate, cookies, and your picture taken..
The parade is specially done for the party, and gets better every year..so I can't wait until this year..

I went to nearly every Candlelight last year because the kids were singing, and did standby seating
and had great seats every time..And they could even see me from the stage... The dinner package people are
seated down front, and they sell only enought tickets for that section..

No matter how many times I sat through it, it still brought tears to my eyes..
We took Pictures when Gary Sinse was the host, and Heather was singing....and later we found out that
Scott our friend and CM from the Pinstation at the Cont. was singing in the CM section (the tree) at the same time
talk about a small world...we didn't know him then...so this year, Scott, Heather, Crystal, and several other CM
friends will all be singing together...

The biggest treat for us as family..was to go backstage, and watch them warm up..

so remember that you can see the processional w/ buying the dinner package, but you can't get the Christmas pin
w/o doing the package....

so your probably more confused now huh??

Are they singing in all performanaces? My dh and I will be going on Nov 27. Candlelight Processional is a beautiful event and I hioghly recommend it. This from a person who watches the pageantry but doesn't really hear much of it. My musician daughters were really impressed too.

Donna, which nights are your children singing in the Candlelight Processional? Would one of these children be the one my husband "helped" one Thursday night in pin chat? She was with Kathryn & had an algebra question.
