How do you use it, exactly?

There are thirteen of us going (three rooms)..but some of the people have to leave early...could we use their extra credits?

I wonder if we have wrist bands on, or tell them a room number etc...when ordering food.

Thanks!

Everyone in the room gets a room key with DDP and park admission preloaded onto it. When you purchase meals you give them your room key. Each key has access to the entire plan.

Example: our group is 3 adults, we stay 9 nights. So on each key we have access to 27 snacks, 27 CS and 27 TS. Then you can "pay" for a meal with any of the rooms keys.

Does that make sense?

Now for people checking out early...I have no idea how that would work!

it's simple... each person gets credits for the number of nights they are on the reservation...

in my family we have eight arriving on day one... and staying for seven nights, so each person will get seven of each type of credit (8 x 7 = 56 of each credit)

on day four we have four more people arriving... they are staying for three nights, so each person in that group will get three of each type of credit (4 x 3 = 12)

we also have one person checking in on day one, and checking out on day five, so they will have four nights and four of each type of credit (1 x 4 = 4)

each person's credits are encoded on their key to the kingdom card... guests all staying in the same room will have their credits pooled together (i.e. my mom and three nieces are staying in one room, so all four people will have their credits combined)...

it's really easier than it sounds... the number of credits follows the number of nights each individual guest is staying... with the only caveat being that each person in the same room (aka on the same ressie) have to have the same variables (number of nights)...

hope that helps clarify it a bit!

Don't worry about it. It's very easy to use and they'll tell you how at check-in if you don't already know how to use it.

This is correct, assuming each of those parties are in separate rooms.

However, one of the fundamental requirements for DDP is that you have to get it for each person on the reservation, for each night of the entire reservation. You can't get it only for part of the time because someone is arriving late or leaving early (or just doesn't want to pay for DDP for the whole time).

If you have someone who is not present for the entire duration of a reservation, they will either not have DDP, or they will have to pay for it for the entire period. If they pay for DDP for the whole time, but aren't there to use the credits, other guests staying in that same room can use the credits -- for example, using their credits for 2 TS meals. The credits are assigned to the room, not to each guest.

It depends on what you mean, and what your situation is.

Credits are not transferrable -- either from room to room, or to people not on DDP. So if the people leaving early are all in the same room, their credits could not be used by other members of your party.

OTOH...if some of those folks are staying in rooms which will remain occupied for the duration of the ressie, those credits stay with the room and may be used by other occupants of that room only.

There is a sticky at the top of this board that goes into detail about the 2007 DDP plan. Here is a link to that post.

That should help you understand how it works and answer lots of questions about the plan

Have fun planning!:cool1:

Yes you can.

It may be simpler for you to think of the ROOM getting the credits (number of people in the room x number of nights room was paid for). All those credits belong to the people in the room, even if some check out early.

We did this last time on DDP and managed to use a lot of extra credits for some 2 TS table service meals and an extra character meal!

Your room card will say x number of adults. You can use that room card to pay for x number of adults at any TS restaurant.
