you edit them under your user cp and then click on edit profile
but,
you have to be registered for 30 days and have at least 75 post(that is when you are a DIS Veteran)

unless they changed the rules

You have to at least have 30 posts

however, if you ask a tag fairy, they might grant you a special tag if you say something funny on the boards. they come in color too!!
