Hi everyone,
Sorry if this is something i should know by being on the DIS,but on the thread for Karen/Belle68,some of you are talking about a Dis Buddy System .Some of you mentioned about thanking Carol for setting this up.I would love to know what all this is about and so sorry for not knowing if i should.Please can you explain it to me-i would be very grateful.Thanks everyone .x.

No problem Michelle. Quite a while ago Carol (CarolFoy) suggested that we have a DIS Buddy ICE system (In Case of Emergency). She was concerned that if something was to happen to one of us and we were unable to let everyone know ourselves, that our partners or families wouldn't think or know about the DIS to do it for us. So the DIS Buddies were born, anyone who was interested signed up and got into pairs, then exchanged telephone numbers, e-mail addresses etc. That way if there was a problem your DIS buddy had another means of contacting you, or vice versa if you were worried about them. It has proved to be a really worthwhile idea on several occasions now. Hope that makes sense !!!

It was suggested at one point to have a buddy system so that if anyone went missing from the boards their buddy would hold details so contact could be made.

I am Nats buddy - so Nat holds my details and I hold hers and if I were to go missing in action she would be able to contact me.

Yes,i understand-what a great idea-how do you sign up?Am i too late?.
I do have Karen's details and she has mine-but we did'nt know anything about this .Me+Karen purely got talking from me PM-ing her one day,months ago to wish her well with her chemo+radio therapy from a comment she made on a post+our friendship started from there .
Me+Kerry-The Fetherstons, also have each others details+regulary pm each other as well.x.
