...Please help! When you make a room only reservation, how much of a deposit do you leave?

I tend to do my reservation in stages and make my room reservation early, so I know that I can get what I want and add the package and any discounts later. I'm looking forward to booking my room and depending on what the deposit is, I can do it sooner rather than later!

A room only deposit is equal to one night's stay, plus tax.

However, if you are planning to change your room only reservation to a MYW package, any money you have put towards your room only ressie will be refunded. If you are more than 45 days away from check in, you will have to put a $200 deposit down. If you are less than 45 days from check in, you will have to pay the entire package amount in full. HTH.

I know we did something like this last time. I sort of booked in stages. If I do a full package ressie, then the deposit is $200? How easily can that be refunded, or delayed, if need be? I want to make sure that we get the resort that we want!

I've never canceled a package so can't comment on that but I did change from a room only reservation to a package and the refund took about 3 or 4 days to hit my credit card. Yes, the deposit on a package is $200 with the balance due 45 days before check in.
