Do you eat/drink dairy products?

As far as I understand, milking a cow doesn't hurt it, in fact doesn't it need to be milked?

Friend of mine is Vegan. No dairy for her. Which also means no muffins (made with milk), no chocolate...practically no nothing.

It can be a bit of a pain when picking restaurants. But, I'm all for it. It's a religious thing for her. :)

Oh ok. Thanks for answering the question. :)

I'm not vegan, but from what I know milk is out (yeah for soy!).

It's true that cows need to be milked. It can be painful for them if they aren't milked often enough.

I think that some vegans might say they would drink the milk of a cow they raised and milked on thier own....but, itis the way they are treated in order to supply the nation's desire for milk that has them not want to drink it. Same with eggs...I know vegans who are not opposed to eating eggs that are laid by hens they might raise.

I'm not vegan, however, it has more to do with how the animals are treated when kept for the milk or how the chickens are kept for eggs. I'm sure that someone who is vegan can chime in with more details.

i have a lot of vegan freidns and none of them eat dairy.

Vegans by definition do not eat any dairy or eggs. Vegetarians on the other hand do, but usually if it's raised humanly.

I have Vegan friends, and like others have said, it is the industry built around animal products, and the treatment of the animals, that they object to.

A couple of my friends are mostly vegetarian, but bake vegan for a challenge! I am not kidding--they make the most amazing vegan cakes, cookies, and muffins you ever tried. Would I choose them over their non-vegan counterparts? Heck no! But they are delicious!

hmm....learn something new every day. I thought vegan and vegetarian were the same thing. :)

I'd love to see some of their recipes! (I'm not vegan but always willing to try new ways of cooking!)

my sister in law is a strict Vegan (in my opinion) No dairy No animals No products made by animals No leather No wool

im a vegetarian No animals but i LOVE dairy

Vegans do not eat or drink anything that has come from anything that has eyes...
If it comes from something that has no eyes it is okay..make sence...
