Can you tell me what the easiest way to get 100 or so kids from Typhoon Lagoon to Downtown Disney would be? I know the bus doesn't stop at the waterparks very often, and we aren't sure how to do this without a huge wait. Thanks for any help.

Contrary to popular belief, all resort/waterpark buses run every 15 minutes all day long.

From Typhoon Lagoon, there are NO direct buses to Downtown Disney. You'd have to go to a resort first, and stay on the bus.

With 100 people, you'd need to take two buses.

That is interesting to know. I have never taken a bus to a water park, but people are always talking about the long waits in between buses.

I thought that we would have to go to a resort to catch a bus to DD. Does one bus come very 15 minutes, or will there be buses to different resorts within that time frame? Is any one resort better or faster to go to?

Thanks for your help. I am really at a loss with this waterpark transportation!

In the afternoon, buses run in the following order:

Marketplace -> Pleasure Island -> Typhoon Lagoon -> Resort -> Marketplace

You will have to get on a bus to a resort. Stay on the bus, and it will eventually get back to DTD. Old Key West is the best choice, followed by Port Orleans, Caribbean Beach, and Pop Century.

Thank you so much for your help. I thought we would have to get off the bus and get on another for DD; knowing we can stay on the bus makes it much easier.

So it won't take so long after all, since half the group could take a Pop Century bus and the other half could take a Port Orleans bus, etc.

In the case of Caribbean Beach or Port Orleans, there are several stops within the resort and the driver might not even notice that most of the people on the trip leg to DD were on the trip leg from TL. You will want a chaperone at each door to be sure the kids don't get off at the wrong stop, also to herd everyone off at the resort to change buses if the bus is suddenly redispatched to a different destination.

The bus will only be redispatched at the Marketplace, not mid-route at the resort.

We probably won't get out of the park in groups of 50 anyway. Teenagers are not that organized. I will have a list for all the chaperones of which resorts they should try to go to; I wouldn't want anyone going all the way to the Grand Floridian.
