A question for those who use Gmail

Does anyone here use gmail? I have a question for those of you who do use gmail. When you forward an email in yahoo, and I assume hotmail, you are able to click on something that says, "Insert Address," or something like that and it takes you to your email address book to select the emails you want to send to. But in gmail I can't find that "Insert" button? Can anyone help me? I have done lots of "Reply's" with no problem, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to insert an email address from my address book in gmail.

If I begin typing the email address, it will give me a list to choose from. I don't have to go to an address book, because it just shows up (did that make any sense?)

If you are just writing an email, on the left side there's a list of address. Just click on the person you want to send to and a new "email" will appear.
