When you turn in quests to Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom, do the cast members ever look at you weird? Or do you feel weird about turning one in? Especially if your child is turning one in also... that was just something i was thinking about. If I were to work the VMK stands I wouldn't look at you weird or question you at all. I would think that cast members wouldn't, but you never know. There could be that occasional one that would make a comment about it. See even though I'm 18, I look about 13 or 14 so I get away with it, lol.

VMK is for everyone. And they do not look at you weird LOL. Sometimes I have seen them give more cards to kids. But never have I had a problem turning in a quest. And I do turn in more than one at a time. Because I have extra tickets LOL.

When my family and I went, it was our first time dealing with the "vmk" aspect of the park. I didn't know exactly what to do. I brought my oldest daughter with me to the counter and we had one set of quests filled out. The CM looked at us and said, "did you do it together?" and I sat there for a minute and said, "yes" He gave us both cards. Just scanned the cards in twice. I thought that was very sweet of him :)

I'm 26 and went in on my own to turn in 3 sets of quests. I had no problem asking them for the gold ears cards in the hat shop either (: VMK is for all ages I am sure it's an every day thing for them to see. Where else do grown ups wear silly hats and eat ice cream for lunch but Disney?

I get mine turned in for my kids...

On my last trip I collected all of mine and realized I forgot one of the quests I believe it was thrill seekers- it was the last set I needed for my son and said I'd try to go back before the end for that one because it was for my son and the cast member gave me the cards without the quest...

Now I have also been in there when they scrutinize the adults a little more closely than the kids- and I guess there are some adults out there taking advantage (the whole ebay selling isn't a bunch of 12 yo's) but I think some of the strictness is ridiculous- I have no problem with them limiting the availability of things but if you have a ticket and the quest why not give out the cards without a question.

I was also fussed at once in VMK Central for checking some kid's answers and correcting them for them before they turned them in

I guess they have some odd castmembers that consider themselves the VMK nazi's or something and others are really great and spread the magic just by being nice and pleasant- even if they are telling you no lol

I'm 18 and the only time I turned in quests I got looked at weird. :confused3 I don't know why, because whenever people guess my age they say 15. This CM also looked at my parents like they were nuts...

yeah, me and my brother did that and the cm gave us each cards.
~~~at the Chapaeu Hat Place, you have to tell them about the card or they won't give it to you.~~~
Dont forget, adults who dont have kids.
VMK is entertainment for all of us, the young and the young at heart. :)
And I dont THINK they look at me weird, but not really worried about it to be honest. They know that people get a bit crazy about VMK.
The first time I went there,
I got a snotty looking/acting teenage cm
I'm 14 myself and they just looked at me like I was nuts
So I just smiled and took my cards:) But my friend thinks I'm retarted for playing this game, each time I wanted to do a quest she gave me this "grow up and stop doing this" look, but then I realized a little mouse with cheese told me that the answers were on the boards
People assume vmk is meant for young kids old enough to read and type but really it's not, disney is meant for all ages, races, and sizes. Disney wants everyone to be happy!!!
I didn't forget about the adults without kids, saying moms and dads was just my way of asking the, erm... older adults without making them feel old, lol. yeah see i had a feeling there would be the occassional cast member that would be, as one of you put it, a vmk nazi. i just wanted to know your experiences with it. but yes i do agree that since disneyland is for all ages, vmk should be too. what does bother me though is that i do remember reading somewhere on vmk's site that they mentioned that the average ages of vmk range from 10-14, and i think that they should just change it to say vmk is for anyone no matter what age.
I would just like to mention BobRichmond (CL_OutOfMyMind) and my experience at VMK Central at DLR. We went to VMK Central, and turned in some quest stuff. The cast members said, "You guys play VMK?" Have to admit here that we are pretty much really old, lol. Yes, we said, we do and we met there.
They got all excited when they found out that we were meeting in "real" for the first time on our trip. (Which is actually way against VMK values, so I was a bit nervous about admitting it)
A bit later, a couple of the staff followed us into VMK Central (the bigger place) and said they thought our story was so cute, they wanted to give us stuff. :rotfl2: And they gave us some extra cards :thumbsup2
So, just to let you know, there are some staff at VMK Central that think the "old folks" are just fine.
We are a family of five. I walk right up to that little counter and slap all five passed down and one filled out quest, and they say nothing! Sometimes if I am feeling real nice I even share some of the cards with my kids:lmao:
Yesterday at VMK Central, lots of kids around, but the adults were the only ones on VMK and the only ones turning in quests... :rolleyes1
LOL no offense to Disney but after buying the tickets, forking over the $$ for the hotel and airfare, and not to mention buying all the Disney merchandise as well as food while we are questing, I wouldnt care if a CM looked at me like i was a martian.
