Nope not at all in the same camps but we have gotten along for quite some time- he shakes his head at my beliefs and I do the same to his- but we both know the other's issues not to be debated and tend to respect those areas but the rest- nah...

We have in the past actually had two political signs and bumperstickers on the car- I think it was the time he put the bumber sticker on my car and it upset me just a bit- he thought it was funny- I called the campaign office of my canidate and had a giant yard sign put in our front yard and a big sticker put on my car and a smaller one to be added to his lol... we got quite a few looks and he replied by adding a sign in our yard for his canidate-

We generally cancel each others votes in most elections but we always vote...

Yes, DH and I are both conservative. It was important to me that my spouse have similar political views to me, though not identical.

Our personal values are very similar, but we often disagree on a candidate. My "make or break" issues aren't the same as his.

I asked him about his political views within hours of meeting him. The only thing we disagree on is tax laws. Even though we both go liberal on most things and conservative on a few, we match up pretty darn close. I couldn't marry someone whose views made me say "what in the hell are you thinking?"
Now ask us the best way to discipline kids, do laundry, or pay bills and you'll get some different answers! (by the way, his are wrong)

We are both ultra-liberal. I could not marry someone who did not share the same beliefs as me.

We have friends who are on opposite ends of the spectrum (one liberal and the other ultra conservative). They fight about their differing ideals regularly. I do not need that kind of stress in my daily life.

DW and I take joy in canceling each other's votes out each election. I tried to explain to her a few years back that they had moved election day to Wednesday, but she didn't fall for it.

DH is a registered Democrat.
I have not and will not register as Rep. or Dem.
Neither party is exactly what I would choose. For things like gay rights, gun control, a womans right to choose I am very liberal, but on other issues I am very conservative, so there is NEVER a candidate who embodies all the things I want a politician to have.
I end up voting for whomever has the best platform on whatever is important to me at that time. I don't know what else to do.

I tend to vote more Republican, but do vote Democratic as well. DH tends to vote pretty evenly split.
He has the same values as me, even though we vote differently at times.

Yes, we are the same. My Dsis and her husband are not the same. They have agreed not talk to each other at all about politics because they just start fighting (not real fighting--more like endless, unresolvable debating).

I really don't talk politics with his family. They are obnoxious about the subject and since I know I'm right .... what's the point of arguing

Yes I brought him over to the "right" side many years ago.

How can you possibly "know" someone and NOT know where they fall? I don't get that at all. I don't think you can.

My dh and I have the same core values. That does translate into political positions for us that are usually similar but rarely exactly the same. So occassionally we back different canidates and issues but overall it's not a big deal since we are so similar.
