Whatever your "political label" is - is your spouse/SO in the same camp as you?

I don't know, he doesn't like to talk about it. BUT he is always asking me

Yes, despite the fact that we can't agree on the best way to hard boil an egg!

I am not married but my significant other once told me if I was on the opposite end of the political world he would've NEVER dealt with me in the first place. I remember some line about he'd rather deal with a serial killer... :rotfl2:

No spouse, but I honestly have no idea where my boyfriend falls politically. I never thought to ask. Neither of us are voters, so it just didn't seem important to me.

Yes, and that was important to me when picking a spouse. :thumbsup2

We don't agree on everything, but our core values are very much in line.

While we both belong to the same party, and both claim to be conservatives, there are some issues we do not completely agree on. He calls me a liberal, but it is he that is a liberal as he is for more governmental control. He gets all worked up when I point that out. Liberal is a dirty word to him. :rotfl2:

Yep, we are. Although DH is not an American citizen--so I cast the vote for our family. :teeth:

Yes, my spouse and I share the same political views....I wouldn't have it any other way. That was very important to me when I was dating, I never dated a liberal twice. :teeth:

Well, he doesnt live in the States, but I would say he is just as conservative as I am.There are some issues that I tend to be a bit more liberal about, but I think we mostly think the same way about things.

I think we share most of the same ideas, although I tend to have much more liberal views. He usually asks me who to vote for though, but I have no idea if he does vote that way......he probably wouldn't vote, but I guilt him into doing it because it is his civic duty.

I do know that he was just as passionate as I was though for the candidate we voted for in the last presidential election. That is the only time I have seen him get into politics....and we both agreed completely.

Yes, but we didn't talk politics at all until we had been married 6 or 7 years.

We belong to the same party, but he's more conservative on a lot of issues.

Nope. And we've been arguing about it for 20 years of marriage.

I actually think he provokes arguments because he was raised hillbilly conservative* and wants to be convinced otherwise.

(*I'm using his own family's descriptive words here, so no offense to anyone...)

We have almost reached a point where if there were a very good Democratic presidential candidate, I think it possible now he'd vote for the Democrat.

He would never tell me, or anyone. But I would know. :)
