A question about resort parking...

We are going to WDW in December, and I have a question. Some of our plans include some PS reservations at the Poly and Contemporary Resorts (we are staying at the BC). If we have a dinner reservation for the Contemp (as an example), and are planning on going to MK for the day, can we park (or valet) in the morning at the Contemporary, walk over for a day at MK, and then return to the Contemporary for dinner before going back to the BC? Does this make sense?

Help! Thanks in advance!

Why not park in the MK parking lot and take the monorail to Contemporary?

If you valet park at the Cont. you won't have a problem but usually they will give you a 3 hr. permit for the PS.

The reason for parking at the Contemporary is just to avoid crowds exiting the park at the end of the evening. I would guess that our dinner will end right around the time that MK is emptying.

We figured it would be easier getting out of there from the Contemporary than it would catching the crowded monorail back to a logjammed TTC.

I'm just in "overplan" mode.

unless you are staying at the hotel, you are not allowed to park their for the day. You will get the 3 hour pass only.

I've heard you can valet no problem. Learned about it on these boards. Are you sure the 3 hour limit includes valet where the cars are parked away from main lot? I'm planning on valeting at GF and having a character breakfast there then monorail to the park ........... because its convenient, offseason and seems to be allowed when you valet. Will I have any problems with this? I've never heard of valet parking lot filling up and its offseason so I can't see how a resort guest would be harmed. Parking in the regular lot and exceeding the 3 hour limit I can see causing problems.

Since I am not the parking police:p , people can pretty much do what they want.

but I think their policy is that you should not do it.

I thought being a resort guest gave you parking at any other resort. If you park yourself in guest parking for the resort and you have the resort guess parking pass on your windshield or dash, wouldn't you be able to leave your car in the lot at another resort all day?

I wish we could get some clarification on the valet thing. We are going to a dinner @ Contemporary around 6pm one night and I would like to know if I could leave the car with Valet & head over to MK until it closes (11pm) after dinner. Maybe I'll email Concierge IPO and see what they think.

:D

You can valet for as long as you wish. No time limit. :)
