Hi all, so I've been trying to plan our upcoming trip since last year but DH of course wasn't interested in helping - so all the plans I made have now at the last minute been thrown into the air because he didn't give me a budget and now that we are TWO WEEKS AWAY FROM OUR DAY IN DLR he decides to start throwing the big bad N word around (that would be "NO"). Needless to say I'm more than a tad miffed at his complete lack of interest in helping me with this for the past year. Apparently he wasn't expecting to spend more than $100 for a hotel room.
Needless to say staying at an onsite hotel will not be happening because to top it all off even if he had said yes the other night to one I'm pretty sure all the rooms are booked up for our needed day, but since they are out of our price range anyway it doesn't even matter. I'm interested in staying at the Anabella because I've heard good things but of course he is saying that since "that's $50 over budget now" (because you know, NOW we have a budget) that means we will have to sacrifice (MORE) elsewhere.
That said, here is what I'm looking for.
1. A clean, safe, family friendly hotel.
2. Walking distance to DLR if possible.
3. Will allow us to park in their lot before check-in because we will have a U-Haul trailer with us and I don't really feel like parking in the RV lot. I can deal with driving ourselves over without the trailer attached if we can leave it in our hotel lot.
4. In the price range of $79 (go ahead and laugh) to $150 a night, because I'm still not quite ready to give up on the Anabella.
ALSO - walking to DLR. Is this ill-advised? Now that we have all of these new, stupid factors coming into play, I would really like to know what others suggest. AND is it allowed still for people to leave the park to go eat outside of it or go to their hotel during the day and still return?
Thanks so much in advance. I know I'm probably coming off as a huge newb but that's because I more or less am. I've never had to plan a Disney vacation before. And I love DH but he has really made me just so angry about this whole mess that he has made in the eleventh hour because he has decided that the trip HE said we could take and refused to help with at all is suddenly The Worst Thing Ever and needs to be done as cheaply as possible at the LAST MINUTE. Ugh. I don't need this stress! (And if someone here gets all sanctimonious I won't hesitate to verbally eviscerate you because I am that OVER IT. So for everyone's sake, let's play nice and be helpful.)
