A question about free dining and crowd levels?

I'm not sure if this is the right board to be posting this on or if anyone here will know the answer but I thought I give it a shot anyways. My family and I are going to WDW on August 5 - 13(the start of the value season at our hotel) I was worried that the crowd levels might be high then because it is the last bit of summer before people have to go back to school. But I thought that maybe the free dining plan which starts about 2 weeks after we leave would help to minimize the crowds at the time i am going with people waiting for the free dining. If anyone could help me I would be very appreciative. Thanks.
