I stayed there 1 night before moving to BWV last December (Friday night, value season). I got an AP rate of $169 plus tax for standard. I guess they figure why would a member stay there when they can stay in the
DVC section so they did not negotiate a points rate. It is very nice, but the points would probably be the same as Yacht Club, you would be paying 32 points for a standard weeknight in early December or 37 points for a wateview vs 12 points for a preferred studio, 22 points for a preferred 1 bedroom, or 30 points for a preferred 2 bedroom. So you would be paying 2 more points for a standard view at BWI than a preferred 2 bedroom at BWV.
I got to wondering about the BWI side of the BWV and the possibility of a stay there down the line. My question is this, what collection does it fall under through DVC ? I have not been able find information in our guide book or on line as just a DW resort . Come to think of it, there isn't much mention of it at all on any of the forums. Is it convention only? I know my DH and I explored that side and it was magical. Have I not been looking in the right place? TY
