Does anyone know for sure if this service is free? I recently cancelled my AOL account and went with a cable hook up. My daughter was upset because she could no longer use instant message and her buddy's list. Well, the other day, I see her talking away with instant message. When I asked how she got it, she said that it was free. Does anybody know anything about this? I am avoiding calling AOL for now, their customer service department stinks and I end up angry and frustrated. Thought I'd ask you guys first. I better not get a bill for $$$$$ from AOL or that computer is going in the pool along with my DD:rolleyes:

Rest your wallet. AIM is free as is MSN messenger. AOL's IM has been free since it's inception. I've never had an AOHell account but I've used their AIM.

:teeth: I'm sure now that you have cable, you're daughter is quite happy with the speed!:teeth:

thanks, oogie.... We all love the speed of cable and lack of pop-ups. AOHell:hyper: couldn't agree more!!! LOL

Yep! I don't have AOL, but have AOL messenger. Have never paid a dime.
