Warning - long post....sorry!
I am hoping my DIS friends can help as I am lost with this new Disney rule of ADRs 90 days plus 10. Let me explain.
My daughter and I are celebrating "A countdown to Kindergarten" (I know it is a little goofy, but we celebrate when we can!) and we are doing this with a three night cruise followed by our annual summer vacation.
We arrive at Disney on July 7th and are staying DVC, we then go on the cruise from the 9th-12th. My DH and DS arrive on the 12th for the rest of our vacation at the Beach club. Today my 90 day window opened for arrival on the 7th. Yesterday, member services told me that I can't book any more than the 7-9th for ADRs as they will check to see when I am checking out so I will need to wait another week to book for our Beach club stay.
My question is, what would happen if I was staying off property? Can't people who are staying off make ADRs 90 days out as well?
Couldn't I say I was staying off in between and still book? I am not looking to be dishonest or start a debate about this and the morality of being truthful, I am just wondering how they police this??
I will make my ADRs for when my DD and I are there and then wait to make the others as I follow the rules but I have had this nagging feeling since yesterday about how could this possibly be handled?
To be honest, it gets me thinking about our Christmas trip. We are not arriving until the 27th, yet the rest of my family is coming earlier. Could they make ADRs for all of us? Or, what is to stop a less honest person from saying they are staying off property before Christmas just to get those desired reservations?
Am I making any sense??
Maybe I am missing something (which would not be the first time, I am sure) but it seems like a bog loop hole.
What do you all think???
