A public apology to Zurg.

I am well aware that you never had any bad intentions. That you were all about fun and lightening things up. You are a good person. Sometimes we just don't realize or have foresight into things that will happen.

I'm just frustrated at the backlash Zurg got because of the DISCars.....It was something that he thought up on his own to add levity to the boards....He PM'd lots of people of varying participations on these boards to get nominations...some people answered some didn't.....

He just makes himself scarce...I on the other hand get mad that DISCars has been singled out as a hurtful event on the DIS when his intention was to help people...

Zurg is not a mod, an adminstrator, or a trouble maker on the boards....but there are a lot of people that have made nasty comments about the DISCars which was his baby....

Zurg'swife -- I see Zurg's heart, as do others, even those that have pointed out how the DISCars could have been hurtful. I share those feelings. No one is saying that he is a bad man or that his feelings, and the man he is, are bad or wrong. He's very well loved and respected here on the CB, as I'm sure he is in real life. He should come out and hold his head high. He tried to do something good for all. He should talk to WillyJ. He's walked a mile in those shoes. No one means to hurt Zurg, honestly. If I hurt him, I too publicly apologize to him. He is a good man, who had good intentions, and we all love him for who he is.

Once again, I have no clue what is going on.

I have always enjoyed Zurg's posts and I thought the DIScars were a lot of fun. I am sorry that this somehow backfired on him.

I, too, am lost and I thought I always read most threads. If the DIScars were the DIS Oscars, I likeds them. It was fun to see what we were all wearing.

As one person who was not e-mailed and didn't know a thing about the discars, I was not hurt. I just decided that I wasn't a part of the "event" and did other things. I don't see the point in getting hurt about this. I have felt left out of some things in the past but not this one.

So from one who didn't take part in any manner, I'm OK with it and hopefully most others are too.

I don't get on the boards much anymore. Did folks dislike the DIScars? I thought it was great fun! We are continuing to promote our riddlers DIScar by displaying gold pants to the first correct answer each morning! How could anyone be offended by the DIScars???

People need to get a grip! The DIScars were for fun and that was that. With a board with this many members - it's impossible to please everyone. I didn't see where Zurg was bashed because of this - but it's a shame that this happened!

To clarify---you know, I never even knew anyone was bashed for this until last night. I didn't even know who started DIScars. What little I saw of it looked pretty funny. This came about because of a conversation on how different people feel hurt on these boards. I just wanted zurg to know that what he did was well intentioned and I realized he never meant to hurt anyone. I believe he thought I didn't like what he did. How can one dislike something that was done with all good intentions?
