~ A PTR for a CAMPING Trip That Might Never Be ~ *TR Started (link inside)*

Awe DF and I wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise for our honeymoon, but we decided Mickey was way way better (specially since DF hasn't been)

We took the Golden Princess out of Seattle. We stopped in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, and we sailed through Tracy Arm fjord.

All of these places were beyond beautiful!

Ketchikan is where I went (and will be going). I walked out of my hotel, breathed in the super fresh air and instantly fell in love  Did you do any of the touristy things in Ketchikan? I loved the Lumberjack show.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: You totally got me! DH would love to take an Alaskan Cruise. I suppose we will one day. I would rather be somewhere WARM. :beach:

This part of Alaska doesn't have extreme weather like you imagine when you think of Alaska. It's on the coast so the weather stays fairly moderate year round. I went in September last time and it was beautiful for the first part and rainy for the rest, but never cold.

Sorry for replying backwards!! I'm all outta whack.

How exciting! Congrats on booking your Alaskan trip! Love the pics -- so very beautiful!

I'll take more pictures when I go in July to share with you all :)

I wanna do a Alaskan cruise.

Biff's nephew and niece are in September. I would cancel my Disney trip fro that.

Well, seeing as you just went I could see canceling your upcoming trip :thumbsup2 Alaska is gorgeous!!

Congrats on booking your trip! Yes, you duped me:rotfl2: What a great experience that will be for Sully! Great pics. too just gorgeous!:goodvibes

Thanks! Sorry for the duping ;)

Blasphamey!!!!:scared1:

:rotfl:

:rotfl:

I'm glad Connor doesn't have that disease you mentioned...hopefully whatever it is is okay and nothing big or bad:hug: He's a trooper and a brave little boy:thumbsup2

Still no Josie?:sad1:

That's exciting about the Alaska trip. What do you have planned? I grew up in Fairbanks Alaska and would love to go back one of these days...

Still no Josie :(

I'd love to get into the interior portion of Alaska. How long did you live in Fairbanks?

Understandable. I'm still undecided on how I feel about cruises. I think Disney for a honeymoon would be awesome :)

I think you meant to post on camelotcats' PTR since she was the one with the great toiletries picture :confused3

Whatcha doin' in Mexico girl?

I mean... Hi??

:D

You guys are so alike; you both rock!!

Sitting here on the computer for now. In a game/computer cafe. I'm gonna go down to the pool or beach a little later. What's up with you?

Have I drawn you in? Are you wondering how I booked my trip already? :cool1:

Well, I DID book a trip today. But, it's not anywhere near Disney World. I bought my plane tickets and made hotel reservations for our trip to Alaska in July :woohoo: I love trip planning period. Even to destinations other than where Mickey lives.

I mentioned in the beginning that Sully would be going with me. I have an Alaskan Airlines credit card, which allowed me to purchase a ticket cheaply last September. And every year I get one companion ticket for $50. So, I decided I would take Sully along on the adventure. I think it will be a very special experience for us both and I'm really excited about it.

Sorry I duped y'all :rolleyes1

Wow, that sounds like it will be a great trip! Congratulations on booking!!

Oh Lordy, we went just about as touristy as one can get. We went ziplining! First of all, it was about 7:00am. Clearly it was far too early to be flying through the trees attached to nothing more than a rope. You say there was fresh air in Ketchikan? I couldn't enjoy it as I was too busy praying that the rope would hold! Ziplining was, without a doubt, DH's idea. :sad2:
We did have quite a kick checking out Dolly's House!

Just catching up. Congrats on the 4.0 and the weight loss!!!

And congrats on booking your trip to Alaska. I am thinking of doing an Alaskan cruise next summer. Like you, I love planning trips. I'm currently trying to get the August WDW trip together, while planning a trip to Williamsburg, VA and New Orleans in April and Las Vegas in Augusgt. I'm worn out!

Take lots of pictures in Alaska!!!

Did you have fun Ziplining? I do remember reading about that. I did Dolly's House too :rotfl: I thought the items made of silk that she used to decorate her shower curtain because they were useless for the purpose they were made was very interesting :rolleyes1

Wow! You're a busy travelin' girl! I'm envious ;)

The town that I'm flying into initially (my final destination is actually an island) is a big stopping point for the cruise ships. I got in late the night I arrived and so didn't get to see anything. The next morning when I walked outside, this is the view that awaited me:

Awww! That ship looks awesome. That would be so fun to do. :thumbsup2

Nice pictures too. :)

Heh - you duped me, too! But, congrats on booking your Alaska trip!

And sorry to hear you still don't know what's going on with Connor - but it sounds like he was a trooper for the tests.

Good luck surviving soccer season and a new class! Ds has decided he doesn't want to do team sports right now, which frankly is fine with me, after the chaos of soccer and flag football (2 different years, not at the same time. Some kids on his ff team did do both - I thought that was insane!). At least activities you can schedule, rather than being at the whim of the coach's schedule. Now I just need to survive Spring Break. Ds is here at our new office, until Grandma comes by to take him and his cousins to Horton Hears a Who...
