A Princess, Pirates and Pixie Dust!

I couldn't see this pic - I'm sure it was :lmao:

happy-halloween-pooh-tigger.gif

Tammie, I have to smile at your latest post. It could be an episode on a reality show. :lmao: Not really, but it was adventuresome! Just a quick post to say

Thanks! Loved the greeting - so cute! You know, it was that kind of day. :rotfl2:

Looking forward to the report!

Which meet and greet was the pic taken from? We still haven't hit all of them yet and don't recognize the setting.

-JB-

Welcome! :cheer2: Thanks for reading! It was at Innoventions West in Epcot - I found this blog post that describes it really well - I'm really glad we took the time to do it! http://mickeysnewneighbors.wordpress.com/2011/12/01/characters-disney-visa-meet-and-greet-at-epcot/

Finally catching up. Sorry i've been MIA. I really love all the new family experiences this trip. You seem to be doing a lot more things you haven't had a chance to do. It seems no matter where you go, and Disney it's almost necessary, when you are showing others around, or have others in tow, you want them to experience everything at once and it's hard to take the time to enjoy the little things. DQ sounds like it was fun for all (adults included).

As for the transportation...I think we've all been there at some point. I really can't believe the driver didn't say anything, and I'm pretty sure that you standing up and saying this is our stop, should have been a point in which the driver will look back and say "do you need to get out here?" I'm just glad you were able to get back into the swing of things afterwards and enjoy your time.

I'm :rotfl2: about the hot tub incident. Not because it's funny per se, but because that guy had nerve. I'm just glad it didn't go beyond just being a little uncomfortable and you got out when you did. He seems a little creepy to me.

Can't wait for the next installment! :goodvibes

Hi Heather! Welcome back! It is true that sometimes tension can build because you want things to go so perfectly. I think the driver was just driving - not into customer service at all. :confused3

What a creep! I think he was just mad at his wife. I'm thinking there are better ways to express your anger than that. :crazy2:

Thanks for being here!

Well, I quoted you and this is all I got. :goodvibes I :lmao: again at your comments. Thanks so much for reading. Nice to know others understand our struggles and don't judge.

Had to say Happy Halloween from Neverland!!

Love this!!!! So cute! These are who Mark's did - i'll have to post a pic - I had it on FB and Mark had me take it off, cuz I had Mav's face in it. :headache:

I think everyone is THAT couple on vacation at least once. Its just the unknown/tention/and wanting everything to go just perfect. E and I have been THEM many times LOL... we have THOSE kids too.. and were THAT family a lot also! lol.

As for THAT guy at the pool OH MY GOD! that's crazy what a jerk!

Also you have reminded me I need to learn more patience when you talked about Jim leaving his military job and having the control/being in control then. That is E, I can only imagine how he will be in 9years LOL.

I guess we all have to be THEM sometime. :) When Ryan was in 7th grade, he got suspended for a day for fighting, and I said to Jim, "MY son doesn't do this!" and Jim said, "Well, I guess he does!" :lmao:

It was so funny to see Ryan walk up and call me mom with that guys jaw dropping - I think he thought I was just lying! :lmao: Jerk is right.

Yes, be prepared with E - It is really hard on your marriage - but you got this far, with all the military "stuff" you go through - you can make it work.

I'll be back tomorrow with an update!

Thanks! We had so much fun and the kids loved all the attention they got. Poor Sarah though kept being called Cinderella when her brothers weren't with her. I guess I should have gotten her a Tinkerbelle to carry around with her. :rotfl2: Ahhh I missed it! Guess that's what happens when I get busy. I'm sure they all turned out very cute also! Hopefully you'll be able to post pictures of him soon enough as he'll be a part of your family (well he already is but I'm sure you know what I'm trying to say.)

Okay, here is the pic of Mark's crew. Wendy, holding a little crocodile, Peter Pan, Tink, Capt Hook who didn't have his crazy curly wig on yet, and a little Lost Boy. We all decorated our cars, too - so theirs is Wendy's room.

We did a tailgate party - Crazy Duck Fans!

Lots of fun and a great outreach for the church!

Saturday, July 13th was the day we had planned this whole week around – it was our princess and pirate day! Londynn had a morning appointment in the castle at BBB, and the boys had an afternoon appointment at Pirate’s League! We were having dinner with Cinderella at 1900 PF!
This would also be the start of showers of PD which remained for the whole trip! I’m thinking it’s because I took one big time for the team, but more on that later….

We were up and out right on time today! All of us were taking the bus together today. Londynn and Papa had a good time planning for the day. Londynn’s favorite princess is Rapunzel, and she had been growing her hair out for this day! She had not had a haircut yet in her life! At first, she had her heart set on genuine Rapunzel braids, and Lindsay had fashioned a beautiful style for her.

She was planning to just do this herself for Londynn the morning of the appointment, because BBB does not do requests. They have two choices of hair styles, both updos. After seeing some pictures of other girls’ sessions, Londynn decided she wanted to have the updo and tiara also. We had purchased her dress on Ebay so here she was!

Waiting anxiously for the bus:

My little Pirates

We made it through the turnstyles just after RD, since all of us were together, we tried to get a PP pic, but the camera wasn't working right, and the crowd of Brazilian students moved in right behind us just as we posed.

Then we headed for the castle.

Jim went with Ryan’s to ride Buzz and visit Stitch. As soon as she came up to the podium, the magic started.

The Fairy Godmother’s in Training there are great! They made every princess feel special, no matter what their circumstances were. You are immersed in the whole castle experience.

They had a Birthday Princess sash for her because her birthday was coming up in 11 days! She had a seat on a princess ottoman,

and in just a few moments, her FGIT came out to call her. They allowed us to come back and take pics, and there was also PP guy crew there getting shots of the various stages of the makeover.

This was such a special time for our little princess, and she just reveled in it!

CONT NEXT POST:

And we continue with more Princess Pics, because a Grandma just has to share

She likes her make-up!

Pixie Dust!

After her make-over was finished and the Pixie Dust bestowed, I tipped the FGMIT and we were off to a private photo shoot! I love the shots from this, and Myles was a really good sport about joining his sister for some pics. This photo session comes with your BBB package, and if you are not buying pics, they will take them for you with your camera. We got the actual package with our PP+ and they added all the shots to our PP!

The shop was so cute!

Sorry, I can see I need to make an album just of these - I can't choose a favorite

Okay, now it was time to find our crew and have some fun before lunch and Pirate’s League! We had FP for Space Mtn, so on we went! Myles started getting a little anxious, so we had to follow the grandparent rule and zip it!

A few anxious faces :rotfl2: Jim must have elected to babysit this one out.

The verdict when we got off? Myles loved it – Mason and Londynn not so much!

Another round of Buzz was in order, since the Princess family had missed it the first go round:

Looks like I took this opportunity to take a nap, and Jim is feeling really competitive!

From here, we decided we’d better get lunch so we’d make our PL ressies. We decided to hit our usual lunch fav, Pecos Bills. I’m not sure what everyone else had – I know I had the taco salad because I got the idea from glennbo123 – you can have it your way from the fabulous fixin’s bar they have. I remember when first got to the table with my almost empty salad shell, Jim’s comment was, “THAT’s a taco salad?” Once I went back and fixed it up, he was jealous of my lunch, I think.

I love their costumes!! They all look soooo good!! I love how even the adults got into the fun! But why wouldn't they. Of course you guys are Duck Fans! I know where your lived before. :rotfl2:

Ahh Love the pictures of the makeover. She looks great! I think one of my favorite pictures is the 2 of them with their tongues out. I also think you need an album of just BBB Photo shoot they all turned out so good!

It was a lot of fun! We had a Ninja Turtle family, a couple of "Up" houses with balloons and boy scout uniforms, a car decorated like a piñata with "cars"-like eyes, castles and superheroes, a forest... lots of creativity!

Thank you! I like the tongues-out pic, too!

Sounds like a lot of creative people!! That's awesome though. Probably made for a really fun day/night!

Tammie, sorry I didn't get here morning (work ended up being nonstop until I left at 4:30).

Love the Halloween costumes.

You do need a whole photo album for those Princess BBB pictures! I couldn't pick out a favorite myself...they were all great. I'm so glad you were able to spend that time with your granddaughter.

The kids definitely don't look too thrilled on Space Mountain (can't say that I blame them), but good for them for trying.

Hi Kathy! NO worries. I totally understand. as you know.

Those little faces are priceless - they were just required to try it, and then not repeat if they hated it. :goodvibes

The BBB pics did turn out great. I think I will have to make memory books for Lindz and I for sure.

Trying to catch up on all the TR's. Glad to see I'm only a chapter behind on this one as well. I'll comment more later.

Saturday, July 13th was the day we had planned this whole week around – it was our princess and pirate day!

Amazing how you can plan a whole day... or vacation, around the little brats, isn't it?

This would also be the start of showers of PD which remained for the whole trip!

Nice!

I’m thinking it’s because I took one big time for the team, but more on that later….

ummm....

uh, oh.

We were up and out right on time today!

That's a minor miracle right there!

She had not had a haircut yet in her life!

Wow!
I knew a girl who at 18 (or thereabouts... but at least 18) had never had her hair cut either. It was her pride and joy.

At first, she had her heart set on genuine Rapunzel braids, and Lindsay had fashioned a beautiful style for her.

That braid is really nice.

we tried to get a PP pic, but the camera wasn't working right, and the crowd of Brazilian students moved in right behind us just as we posed.

Too bad, looks like it would've been a great memory pic.

The Fairy Godmother’s in Training there are great! They made every princess feel special, no matter what their circumstances were. You are immersed in the whole castle experience.

I have mixed emotions about this.

On the one hand, I wish it'd been available when I first took my DDs.
On the other.... my pocketbook is very glad that it wasn't available when I first took my DDs!

This was such a special time for our little princess, and she just reveled in it!

She does look pretty happy!

::yes::

I can!

Myles started getting a little anxious, so we had to follow the grandparent rule and zip it!

I know my Mom has trouble with following that rule... and I wish my DMIL would!

Looks like you were really tired that day. You're taking a nap here too!

Looks like I took this opportunity to take a nap, and Jim is feeling really competitive!

 Jim looks pretty intense there!
Whoa, big fella! It's just a game!

I remember when first got to the table with my almost empty salad shell, Jim’s comment was, “THAT’s a taco salad?” Once I went back and fixed it up, he was jealous of my lunch, I think.

Nice to have inside information, now and then, isn't it?

NEXT UP: Grandma Takes One for the Team

I repeat... Uh, oh.

Thanks for the update Tammie! :goodvibes

I guess that's what life is about, right? ;)

Nice!

Do you get my sense of pending doom?

That's a minor miracle right there!

Her mom thanks you.

I know! It was the one I was hoping to get on the first day, when Ryan's were late. :headache:

lots of different prices - we only pd $54 for hers - not too bad - but then you have two girls. :rolleyes1

She does look pretty happy!

::yes::

I can!

Donna, thank you for your sweet comments and Welcome! :welcome:

I'm so sorry to hear that your dad didn't get to meet your son, or for your family to be all together for the memories. I'm glad you are making the time to go with your mom. Maybe you could do something special to honor your dad's memory. KatMark who is on this thread, buys a balloon to give a chld in her dad's honor, because he always bought her boys a balloon in the park. :goodvibes

Thank you so much for reading! I will put up another installment tomorrow - just for you! :goodvibes

Well, with lunch over, we were running pretty close to our PL reservation. Jim headed over to Splash to get FP for everyone, and we cut through the secret passage between Frontierland and Adventureland to get to our destination. And then IT happened. We were walking along and talking – I had Londynn by the hand, and my coke in the other. I was looking up toward the shop right next to POC, because that’s where PL is. I was looking for the sign, and then it happened – it felt like slow motion, as these things do….. I felt myself falling – actually something pushed me over…I let go of Londynn… I tried to stumble forward and get my balance, and something was stopping me….I looked down to see a big blue sneaker wrapped around my ankle! Then

BAM! I hit the ground, first on my hands, then my knees, and then the kids tell me, my face! I remember a loud GASP! From the crowd. The gentleman with the big blue sneakers picked me up, I know – kind of held me standing until my family came over. He apologized, and asked if I was okay. I remember saying yes, my knee just hurts. And then he was gone like Donkey Kong!
(To be fair, I think I heard Ryan say, "Dude! what were you doing?" and Lindsay said something to him, too. I think he was scared.)

I looked over at my kids..”He TRIPPED ME!” I was so confused as to why someone would trip you right there in the MK! (maybe that’s why he ran off?) Mark was extremely upset – I was trying to move out of the street and toward the building (we had an appointment to keep!) – and he stopped me to look in my eyes ask if I could see him okay? Yes, why? It turns out from the report of my kids, my head bounced off the pavement pretty good. I don’t remember that, and I only had a small scrape on my nose and forehead, you couldn’t even see it once I washed my face off and powdered my nose. I was either hard headed or my angel was watching over me. :littleangel: About this time, I noticed my left thumb wouldn’t move, and my wrist hurt really bad. A lady came over and gave me her frozen water bottle to hold to my wrist. Looking back, I’m sure some of this was because of me looking up instead of around, but Lindsay said what happened is the guy in question started flailing his arms and feet around wildly in his conversation, and thus pushed me over with his arm while wrapping his foot around my ankle.

There was a security person standing there, and I asked her where to check in for Pirate’s League – I could see she was prepared with her loss prevention training, and quite relieved when she didn’t need it. And when I looked back, she also was gone like Donkey Kong

I tried to copy this pic, but it belongs to trip advisor and doesn't translate to DIS format. Here is what the entrance looks like. The PL sign is near it, but off to the side, so I wasn't quite sure where to go in.

http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUser...155704012-Pirates_League-Orlando_Florida.html

We checked in, and I asked the gentleman at the desk where the first aid station was for after our appointment. He offered to call the medics, but I said not now. I was not missing this Pirate appointment with my little guys! He got me an ice pack and told me if I needed anything else he would be right there. Jim showed up and I had him pull on my thumb (not my finger :rotfl2:) and it was able to move again. I was in a lot of pain, but I tried to just push it back and enjoy these moments.

Pirate’s League is one of the best buys at MK! For about $30 per child, we got this awesome pirate setting, the crew there was amazing – they put on the old Cockney accents, (Londynn decided to talk like that for half the next day. :rotfl2:) and just played it all up – as soon as we entered the salon, we were taken back in time to pirate days. The boys all got to choose their make- up style, and they got a sword and a leather-like sash, and a little bag of pirate loot, as well as a pirate scroll with their pirate name. Before their make-over, they had to spin something and get their pirate names.

They were something like Archibald Belly Scratcher or something silly like that. The age for this was 3 and up, but now it looks like it just says all ages. Since Evan was almost 3, I had originally booked it for just Myles and Mason and I thought we’d get Evan some stuff and make him feel special, too. Then I heard that if they were close to age 3 you could get them to fudge it for you. So I called and added him to the ressie – I just explained that he would be a month away from his birthday, (which was true) and she said, “and what is your 3 years olds name?” and we were in! I’m so glad because he did great and really enjoyed it – until the FP shoot.

Dana took the rest of my pictures for me, because my hand wasn't working

I love how attentive she was - giving him time to get comfortable pirate:

I will be back with more Pirates later - seems like all of the neighbors are requesting internet at the same time and the pages are loading so slowly at the moment - I need to get some housework done.

Oh, just a side note - I have resigned my Oregon job and I have been promoted to Office Manager at the Texas job - I start Monday morning - I am sad that I won't be working from home much, but happy that I will be getting vacation time and more $$ for Disney! :dance3:

Oh I hope you were all right !! Sometimes people jus don't pay attention to their surroundings and who could be hurt by what they are doing !!! The PL looks great !!
