A preimer pass question with magic bands

Is anyone else having problems linking their premier pass with the new website. I getting a magic band and tried to do fast pass plus and is says I need a valid park admission but not for my mother who pass was linked to the account. The thing is in my profile it shows the pass but I haven't used it yet bought it before the price increase in Disney world. Is it because it a premier pass that it giving me a hard time. Is it because Disneyland still stuck in 19 century unlike Disney world which is in the 21 century and the cutting edge technology. It has to be Disneyland fault somehow I also haven't got anything from Disneyland like News letter well Disney world stopped to and only send my mom one. I emailed them don't hold hope they will help.


Still trying to find iger and staggs on twitter but no luck yet unless a certain someone in Disneyland will share their source they have. To contact the two and since they have lunch with iger every week but have to bribe him with a Mickey bar maybe he help.

What you may have right now is a voucher and needs to be activated at guest services, meaning they will give you the physical pass. The number on that is the one you need.

Sorry I wasn't clear I have then pass I bought it before I left Disney world. I haven't used it yet because I still had time on my other pass.

My suggestion would be to call disney as it may be a problem on there end, they may just not have put the pass into the system yet.

Thanks I emailed them but will call because I can't make fast pass plus reservations. The system thinks it linked to another account but it not you have to love Disney web sites and apps that just work so well. Lol

The Premier Pass cannot be currently linked to Magic Bands. The reason is that the turnstiles and Guest Relations at Disneyland have no capability at all of reading RFID and you must have a ticket with a bar code on it.

thank you so you saying i wasted 800 dollar on the premier pass because disneyland stuck in the past. well disney needs to split up the pass give you a preium for both parks so you can get a magic band and have a ticket for disney land. so your saying disney let me pick the color and name i want on it for nothing more then just to get my hopes up. if i wasn't going to disneyland for my 30 birthday i wouldn't have this problem i knew disneyland was not a good option.

I have a legal question can I sue for emotional distress maybe say I was listening to the small world song while trying to customize my magic band just to find out I can't use it. Because Disney land has to ruin my fun.

The Premiere Pass has a barcode and a RFID chip inside the card. The card can be used at both Disney Parks, Anaheim & Orlando. The issue you are having is the majority of Premiere Passholders and they are working to fix the problem. Because you are part of the test users for MDE and Magic Bands you will have a higher priority in the queue for them to fix it. Give them a call. .

I'm a little confused...your ticker says you aren't checking in for over three months, to Boardwalk...we only know about September and October testing at this point, and Boardwalk is not yet a participating resort.

Is there another trip in the meantime where you are getting a magicband?

I haven't updated that I need to change it I go in oct for a small trip that ticket was for a trip last year. I am staying one night at contemporary and one at board walk I getting them because of the stay at contemporary.

OK, that makes more sense...

Calling has often helped with linking issues. However, some ticket types still can't be accommodated in the system yet in advance, and can only be handled when you arrive. They are still working out the kinks.

Yeah now I know that I going to still call because I still think I can use fast pass plus with just the ticket because it has RFID. I kinda understand why I can't get a band but don't see why Disney just can't separate the tickets but they will come up with something.

I also need to call because I think I am not getting all the news letters from Disney land but not sure.

So basically we will not able to use the bands for our Oct 2-12 DVC BCV trip?
I am also not able to book FP+ past 10/3 so does this mean we probably wont be able to use this system either?

2 in the family have normal magic your way passes for 8 days.

If you call Disney they can help linking them to the app and web site so you can make fast pass plus. I called and two days later my pass was recognized and I was able to make fast pass plus when you call have you resort confirmation number names Ion the pass and the passes if number.

Did you call Disney because I called on a tue and by Thursday it was linked. I found the people I talked to on the phone are much better then online chat and the people you contact via email. I hope you get it linked and don't have any problems.


I wish they would came out a tell more people that their would be a problem and you can't use a magic band. They working on it but don't give a eta when it be done.



If I was in charge for now I figure out a way to separate the tickets give you the Disneyland ap and then Walt Disney world one so you can use the Walt Disney one to get magic bands. Then when Disney land get them they can go back to one card. Or issue a barcode that go on the magic band.

I have called 2 times. Been told I would be notified in 2 days about then being linked. No luck. What was the error you were receiving when trying to link them?
