A precious gem of a weekend!7/23 Finished! link to new TR

My guess is that it depends on how good the "updates on the sports channel" were whether you get your taxi! ;););)

Congrats on the account credit! That's fabulously fun! You should have blown it on the hoodie!

tHat MaRgaRita picture is :thumbsup2 LM tried a few too ;) I had that salmon, I liked everything we ordered at PM. Yay~Tonga Toast on the way!!!

I definitely thought you meant something else!

Octopus man and all.

Wow that food looked REALLY good for counter service! YUM!

Very glad you got your credit!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Fun update, as always.

HA! Travelings takes a lot out of Octopus man. He was pretty tired.

The food was really good. We were both pleased. I'm looking forward to that salmon again when I return in July.

When we stayed at CSR in April, 2008, we really enjoyed all the food we got from the Pepper Market! Wish I had tried one of those margaritas you had, though! That is a great pic of you! :thumbsup2

Woo hoo for two mugs and a credit! Disney always seems to try and do the right thing!

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: about watching the Sports Channel.

I was thrilled with Dh's credits. After he got off the phone he started to question whether he should have asked for more.

The food was really good. We ate there for breakfast coming up later and were pleased as well.

Great update! Keep them coming!
We just returned home from Buffalo - lots of snow that direction! Are you all getting hit in Canada as well?

We're being hit today. But it's been mild all week. In fact after I get off this computer I'm heading out to shovel.

How good the "updates" are. Too funny. Nice play on words.

So that comment leads me to believe that you were only happy with your dinner food and you found the other meals lacking.

I'm going to grab a margarita on my way to my room next July. Think they'll let me wander the resort with it? I think I can get them from the bar they had outside near the lobby.

You definitely should try the bar outside & the bar by the Dig Site too. We did go to Rix one night but just for a bit.

We liked everything we had at Pepper Market! It's such a great deal on the dining plan. All of our TS meals were nice too. Food is good. :rotfl2:
Le Cellier was the best by far. :lovestruc

Goodness! I think I knew you were going to start this TR and I waited and I thought you did, and then I guess I lost it because I just started seeing you posting here and there and then I saw it below! SO I am here.... I loved reading your other "Adult" only trip.... the frisky business references with Disney ;) HIGHlarious... AND you guys seem to have so much fun!!! I am so glad to see the inside of Coranado... I was considering this one if I can get DH to go to the F & W this fall.. because I know he would dig the renovated rooms... I'd love to stay there but if I have to go by myself I am going to pick something closer to F & W... I can't wait to see what I have missed!!! Happy New Years and all that!

I do think the Margarita photo for your Avitar is perfect!!!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: on watching the sports channel!

So glad you were able to get your mugs and some money off.

Mmmmm Tonga Toast, that always looks so good!

That's a great picture, and the margarita is huge! You should definitely use the pic as your avatar. :thumbsup2

He said he wanted money off our rooms and two refillable mugs. He got it.

:woohoo:

Well, after racking my brain I turned on the sports channel.:happytv:

:rotfl2: Can't wait to hear about breakfast!

I thought I'd borrow from Jackie (Charlestonprincess) and add a real life update.

We've been doing a lot of baking in our house. Mostly because Cindy DD9 got the gourmet girl cake set. Her favorite show is Cake Boss and she's been crazy about learning how to decorate with "fondant icing". Luckily Santa came through and here is some of her attempts.

And here she is with her very first cake.

My recent baking attempts were inspired by praisehisname. She made cinnamon buns on a snowday and I just had to make some too. I waited for a snowday but it never happened. So I just went ahead. It took me three attempts (I've never made cinnamon buns before) but they turned out great. I took this pic before I iced them. Cindy DD9 wanted fondant icing of course but I made a cream cheese one instead.

Other than baking we have been dancing up a storm. I may have referenced my next trip to Disney before. We're going in July to attend a dance competition. Here are my two dancers dressed up for a Christmas performance. Eeoyre DS11 and Cindy DD9. You'll hear more about them in the next trip report.

Notice the hidden mickey barettes? I haven't gotten the "team" ones yet so we made do with these.

Of course you have to have the eyelashes as well. After all she is in the Diamond clan.

Thanks for sharing, the kids look so cute~and diamonds, very fancy!!
Congrats :thumbsup2 on the cake making!
That is one awesome looking cake. :goodvibes
Plus cinammon buns are my fave...I'm hungry now. :rotfl:

Aisling got fondant from Santa this year too! Popular gift!

Our walls are the same color too!

Your daughter's fondant iced cake is great! I have never been brave enough to try that!

Your cinnamon rolls look delicious -- those would be perfect on this cold morning here. I think it is sad that I got all excited that it was 17 degrees this morning -- that's the warmest it has been in the morning in a few days.

Your girls are soooo cute! Love the Mickey barrettes and eyelashes!

Adorable dancers!

Fun baking too! I could eat one of those cinnamon buns this morning!

Looking forward to more "gem" moments!

That cake is gorgeous. I too love cake boss, they crack me up sometimes. Ok, about the cinnamon buns....you should have a warning before we get to that picture,...it's 930am on a Sunday morning, I'm having my coffee and now want a cinnamon bun!!!!:rotfl2: Maybe when Jas is up I can talk her into going to the bakery to pick up some:rolleyes1

I would have died for those eye lashes as a kid...I was into the bling!! They both look great and you must be so excited about gettting to go for the competition....you're gonna have so much fun!!!

Delurking to say your cinnamon buns look professional and now I'm craving buns and cake!!!

Cinnamon buns are my DH's favorite. I never thought I could make them. I thought they were too complicated. So no one was more surprised than I when they turned out spectacular!

Awesome job! I hope you guys enjoyed them!

Thanks for the inspiration!

Love the eyelashes and the barrette! Too cute!

We're supposed to use other sparkling barrettes but personally I think since we are going to Disney to dance this year all the girls should adopt the disney ones too!

It was hard to find the girl gourmet cake decorating set. I could find the refills all over the place but not the actual basic set.

The best part about Cindy's decorating is that she's old enough to make it all on her own. She needs some reminding about cleaning up though!

That is so cool to want to learn how to do fondant. What a neat Christmas gift!!

She had wanted that set soooo badly. Her face was priceless when she opened it.

She's gotten really good at decorating them. We're almost all out of refills. I'm thinking maybe we should try to decorate real cupcakes. After all if I can do cinnamon buns perhaps fondant icing won't be too bad.

Adorable dancers!

I'm not quite as quick on the updates as you. However, my next trip isn't coming up as quick as your either. I do hope you'll share your cruise with us. I have vertigo something terrible and don't think I'll ever risk a cruise.

Cindy never misses an episode of cake boss. Maybe she'll end up working for disney one day making those huge gingerbread houses?

Very impressive cakes! I have never attempted fondant, it scares the bejeezus out of me. As do Cinnamon Rolls! But oh those look GOOD! I'm in the it's 9am here, I have my coffee and now I want one too boat :goodvibes

You dancers are adorable, I do think sparkly mickey barrettes are the perfect accessory for the trip!

The fondant came in a powered package. Cindy just added water and rolled it out. I doubt the real stuff is as easy to work with.

Coffee and cinnamon buns. Yum! Not quite Tonga toast but I certainly wouldn't turn it away.

Oh I got Aisling (Santa got Aisling) ACTUAL fondant!
