Hi All!
Welcome to my third attempt at writing a trip report! I never thought I'd make it through the first one never mind go on to write more. Never say never as they say. Kind of like my Dh said he was
"never going to go back to Disney"
and I dragged him two more times in the next year. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
This report is about the trip Dh and I took from October 16-19 2009.
Just the two of us.
It was a re-do from my birthday trip in April. We had much drama that trip. Mostly do to silly bickering between us. So we tried again with much success.
We still had some drama but I'm happy to say that it was due to outside causes. Dh and I were as happy as two peas in a pod and got along like wildfire all trip. Surprising to some who may have read my other trips I know. Perhaps Disney is putting something in the water? Whatever it was Dh was on his best lovey-dovey-hubby behaviour all trip.
But for those of you who haven't read my other reports let me do a quick introduction. I go by the name Diamond on the boards.
I'm a part-time kindergarten teacher, busy mother of three and wife of 13 years chocolate loving disney addict. Just ask my children, (my biological and my students). They can all tell you that Ms. D (D for Diamond but of course in real life I answer to a different name but secretly I wish I could change it to Diamond. How much do you think the legal fees would be for that?)
My husband goes by the name of Dh in my reports. I tried to find him a nickname honest I did but nothing stuck so he's stuck with plain old Dh. Not that I find him plain or old (LOL). We've been together since University and I couldn't have asked for a more dedicated father to raise my children with. He quit well-paying IT job in the city to start his own homebased business so he could stop spending all his time commuting to Toronto and become involved with our children. He Volunteers on all their school trips, has helped coach soccer and hockey. He loves spending time at the cottage and makes sure we all leave our technologies at home to focus on family time.
Here is a picture of us.
Together we have three children. But like the show "Everybody loves Raymond" says, it's not really about the children.
I'll be back soon with how I convinced Dh to take yet another adult only trip in less than a year.
