A Pre-Trip Report by a 5 yo princess...The final countdown!!

Ok, so I thought it would be nice if DD and I could do a trip report together. She is 5 (ahem almost 6!) and loves Disney. In fact, she believes the only reason you have to get on a plane is to go to Disney World. She is well trained already! So without further delay here is the cast!

Me (Mommy) Trip planner and Disboard fanatic. Can't wait to get back to Disney.

Dh (Daddy) Lets Mommy do all the planning and just goes with the flow. Good Daddy!

DD (Aubrey aka Sharpay) Loves Disney, has very opinionated views of the world around her and has recently gone from being a complete tomboy to a complete princess. (Thanks BBB!)

DS (Ashton aka Little Man) 13 mos old and in love with all things Mickey Mouse. Still upset that the real Mickey didn't come home with us.

Ok, that is the cast so how about a little bit of background info. We made our first family trip to Disneyworld when DD was 14 mos old. We have been hooked ever since. In fact, DH is looking into employment in the Orlando area. Gotta love that man! We went back for DD's 2nd birthday which also fell on Mothers Day. And we have been back every year since at various times. This past December we went for the first time over Christmas and it was also the baby's first trip. Aside from the incredible cold it was a great time. So here we are planning yet another trip to WDW and we are all so excited! I hope you don't mind a co-op trip report. DD will most likely be most involved on the weekends, but here is what she has on the agenda so far...

Per Aubrey - Hi everybody! We are going back to Disney and I can't wait. I am going back to BBB and am going to be Ariel. Maybe Ariel will be there for dinner when we go. Other wise I will have to sit on her rock again with her. If she is at dinner then she can walk to our table.

I am going to ride the roller coasters with Mommy again. Daddy gets sick on them, so he will stay with baby Ashton. Ashton can ride Dumbo and Pooh Bear and It's a Small World.

See why I refer to her as Sharpay? Well there is a start. I will ask her majesty this afternoon what else she has planned for us and report back to you. I'll also try to post our ADR's later on. Enjoy!

Hi thanks for stopping by! I will be sure to ask Aubrey tomorrow what her favorite ride is. She will be so happy to have someone reading and replying. Sounds like Maddie is an adventurous one like Aubrey!

Ok, here is the list of ADRS. We arrive on 8/15 and leave on 8/23:

8/15 Arrival day: CM dinner. This was something we did on the spur of the moment last December. We didn't have any plans for dinner when we arrived but at the last second decided to try Chef Mickey's. They actually had an opening and the kids loved it. It was a great way to start out our vacation. Something we have decided to carry over into future vacations.

8/16 1900 PF Dinner.
8/17 Playhouse Disney @Hollywood & Vine for Lunch. Another one of our faves!
8/18 CP Breakfast.
8/19 Donald's Safari Breakfast
8/20 PF BK (We haven't done this one before...Anyone been and enjoyed it or should we change it?)
8/21 PSD Epcot (DD is so wanting to see Ariel so please send a little bit of this our way! ) We also have Aubrey booked at BBB in the castle for this day.
8/22 CM Breakfast.
8/23 will be left open as I don't yet have our flights etc so we may add a breakfast at the last minute.

So there you have it. I can already taste all that yummy food! Too bad we have to go the week before free dining. Oh well, I did get the pin code for 40% off. Also, we have never stayed at POR before. I'm usually not too keen on the mods, they are way too spaced out for my taste, but I love the look of the resort and I think Aubrey will like the trundle bed should we be lucky enough to get it. Someone please tell me I won't regret that decision...pretty please?

Hi Maddie! I like BTMR too and Goofy's roller coaster. Are you in Kindergarten? I am. I have to go to school now, but I'll write more later today.

John come out of hiding and post to your smallest best friend would ya! LOL I had forgotten about that picture of Aubrey in St. Thomas. You'll have to email it to me!

Well off to check the park hours again and make sure I have things the way I want them.

Hi Aubrey, Ashton, Mommy and Daddy. This is Susan, John is on the road, on his way to Columbus, OH, as I type this. I think it's great that you are doing a pre-trip together, I'm sure you will both have loads of fun.

I think it would be great if you also joined us in December, but you can forget about the babysitting. We'll be on vacation. . John said he might consider baby"sitting" for you, but God help your children if that happens.

You will have to let us know all about POR and BBB. We have budgeted for all the girls to have a make over on the day we celebrate DD Denise's 9th birthday. The kids still have no idea that we are staying at POR. We are letting them believe we are staying at POP. It is an assumtion on their part and we're just going with it.

I also want to hear all about 1900 PF. I believe that breakfast is attended by the wicked stepsisters and Madame Tremain (sp), and the fairy Godmother. So make sure you remember every detail, Aubrey.

We will definetly subsribe to you pre trip report and keep up with you until you go.

Aubrey, you work on Mommy and Daddy about going back for Christmas again this year, ok. Rachel and Denise would love to see you again and you'll get to meet Jasmine the youngest DD.

OMG Susan you have made my day! I have been having a really tough time with the school lately and just when it feels like no one cares about Aubrey and making sure she is provided for, you and John talk about these pictures and to post them ah... "No, I don't have school, we can go to Disney."

She's only in kindergarten and already trying to skip school. At least she has her priorities straight!

who ever would have thought that we would still be chatting? this has been some of the best fun i have had. i find it funny if we meet up at WDW for christmas. i still hope to get my CRT breakfast on christmas day am i asking for too much? oh well. i hope thunder over louisville isnt too wet this weekend.

You cut your hair! I want to see a picture of your new haircut. Mommy cut my hair short last year. It is getting long again though. I told Mommy not to cut my hair short anymore. The girls are cute!
