A Positive Story about WDW

Hey Everybody,

I know that there are lot of complaints about Disney (I only travel there with my husband, and if I had children, I would imagine that I would have some complaints simply because everything is different). But here is a story of how Disney got it right.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon going to Disney. We flew to Miami and had a 6 hour layover. We asked if there was an earlier flight to Orlando, and there was...but itleft instantly, so we had to run. When we arrived in Orlando we went to the Magical Express to explain that our luggage wouldn't be arriving for 6 or 7 hours (on top of that, we had never received the yellow luggage tags to put on our luggage...so no obvious disney identification).

To our surprise, the CM said "just give us a description of your luggage and we will deliver it to your room." My husband and I figured the probability of her note with our information being lost in the next 7 hours was pretty big, but we have learned not to be sceptical from the beginning. When we got to our room after being at Magic Kingdom all night, our luggage was in our room as promised. We were pleasantly surprised, and the rest of our trip was flawless (we went over July 4th week last year, and compaired to DisneyLand...the parks were not very busy at all...maybe it all depends on perspective though!)

Thanks for the positive feedback!! It is nice to hear good things instead of bad things all the time. We have made four trips since 2002 and I can't think of anything that has gone so wrong that would make me say that Disney has lost its magic and that I am not going there anymore. I am happy to be going back again and again. I am happy to give them my money. To me, our next Disney trip is part of our way of life!:thumbsup2

Glad you had a really good trip, its good to hear something positive instead of all the negativity lately.:)

Nice feedback. I only have had magical experiences getting the desired rooms at the resorts that I requested, so I have never had any complaints. Consider me one of the lucky ones.

Glad things worked out fine for you and you had a great vacation. ME certainly outdid themselves.:thumbsup2

I have had things go wrong for me (like my TA booking me for my dates in June instead of July) but everything always seems to work out for us. I guess it is just all how you look at it!

Glad to hear it. Funny thing is, I've had many good and some great experiences while at Disney, what people have to remember is that Disney deals with more guest per year than any other vacation spot in the world, it is still the most visited place on the planet. That said, there are going to be problems and some less than spectacular moments, it's the nature of the beast, I'm not defending bad customer service by any means but I see posts on this forum of some pretty ridiculous things that people expected and didn't get.

It's really cool to hear such a positve experience. The boards seem to filled with such negative vibes lately. It's as if people expect everything to be perfect just because it's Disney. It's great when Disney meets or exceeds your expectations, but as someone else pointed out, they deal with more people on a daily basis then any other resort in the world, and "stuff happens"

Glad you had a great Disneymoon! Thanks for the positive feedback!
