Hi Everyone! :wave2: I have been on The DIS for many years, but this is the first time on the WISH board. To make a long story short, I had been on Weight Watchers, and went to my meetings at work, and lost 34 pounds in one year. I was so proud! I got lots of compliments ! The weight loss also made a huge difference walking around WDW on my solo vacation. When I weighed more, my joints hurt so much that I would be walking to breakfast at WDW while crying. The year that I lost a mere 20 pounds NOTHING hurt while doing my solo vacation.

Then came all the stressful situations in my life ! I had SO MUCH to think about and worry about, that I didn't think much of WW. My car was costing me so much money in repair after repair that I hardly had any money left to my name. After 28 years in the same New York State agency, same building, same grade, I decided to take a promotion with another state agency. I had so much stress leaving the old job, training my co-worker to do MY job, and then learning a new job while on probation for this job.

I realized that I am a stress eater !

Now fast forward 6 months to the present time ....

All of these stresses are now gone ! :yay: I have a brand new car that is working great. I am going to stay at my new job, and in just two more weeks, I will pass probation. I now have parking at work, so I no longer have the stress of running for the bus. My personal life is getting much better, too ! My savings account is getting better, despite paying for the new car. Life is really good ! :yay:

However ..... I have gained back almost every pound that I had lost on Weight Watchers. Honestly ..... I could just cry ! I am still in the nasty habits of stress eating. I still do go to my meetings at work. Thankfully, my new work place also has meetings. All those new clothes I bought don't fit me at all ! I think I still have the nervous habits of constantly reaching for food at my work cubicle. And even at this workplace, too, people bring in all sorts of food and candy bars. I just have zero resistance.

Can anyone here offer me some sort of ideas to get myself back on track ??
I now have 118 more days before my next WDW vacation and DISapaloosa.

Thanks SO Much In Advance !!!!!!!

4 weeks ago, I was skeptical, but now 25 lbs later, I'm a believer. On my sister's advice, I tried the HCG diet plan. It is a series of daily or weekly shots, or sublingual dosages of HCG combined with a very low calorie diet. I'm doing it through a local weight loss clinic where my health is monitored, although there are on-line sources of the HCG and plan.

The first week I was hungry at times, now I have to force myself to eat my meals. You are always eating real food, not pre-packaged meals or shakes (although my clinic does offer shakes for snacks if you want to purchase them.) There theory is the HCG metabolizes between 1000 and 2000 calories of fat from your body each day and that is why you aren't hungry after getting over the intial psychological hunger. All I know is that I've lost fat in places where it never came off in other diets; my back smoothed out first, I now have cheekbones, my rings are loose, and my upper arms toned along with losing almost 5 inches on my belly in just four weeks. I still have a long way to go towards my goal, but losing those first 15 lbs in just two weeks sure is a motivator along with the inches lost so you know it's more than water weight.

There are clinics and doctors (mostly naturepaths) offering this system now across the country. So if you want to kick start your weight loss before going back to a more moderate weight-loss plan, I can't say enough about HCG. I'm not skeptical anymore and I met someone at the clinic yesterday who had lost over 60 lbs and maintained that loss "effortlessly" for 6 months. She was back to lose those last 30 lbs.

Hi Claudia! Welcome to the WISH boards!

You are welcome to join us on the Between the BLs Summer Challenge. We still have four weigh ins on this challenge and another will be starting mid-September. Lots of time to get a head start on fall! Several people on that thread are on WW (myself included) but there are lots of good ideas. It is a great group of folks and you are welcome to join us!

Good luck on your journey to good health. You can do this!

Good luck with your journey princess.

Now a little tough love. Go to you mirror and look at yourself. That person looking back at you is your partner in this. Is that person looking back at you worth the effort? I think so, but it doesn't matter what I think, all that matters is what you think. That person is depending on you. You alone can make it happen. Yes you have some personal demons to overcome but are you worth it? If the answer for you is yes and I sincerely hope it is then take responsibility for making the changes you need.

Forget the word DIET, the first three words say it all. A diet is slow starvation and you can't sustain that. The only way to lose weight is to get in better physical condition and eat properly. As you gain muscle you wil burn fat. But you have to help out by not eating high fat and sugar.

Start walking, today! Someday never comes, start today. Start with 30 min easy walking and work up to an hour a day of brisk walking. Start a thread on here or the Events and Competition section and post every day, make yourself accountable. Also post what you ate without exception.

Decide to change a couple of things right now. No more soda, it's a high calorie chemical mix and it's bad for you, even DIET soda, stop it. Those candy bars also need to go. Tomorrow take your lunch if there is no low calorie healthy food available where you work.

Make a committment and we will commit to helping you. Panda promise.
