Now, I was SOOO excited on the first day that I barely took pictures!
So, We woke up at 7:00 a.m. to be at the Gingerbread house at opening. It was out first full day so we didn't know what to expect, including the food!

I put on my MAW shirt, the GAC/lanyard, and my GKTW button on my shirt( I would later pin it to the lanyard as it made it easier for CM's to see it because my hair kept getting in the way if it! I also put on a Geenie sticker on which my MAW chapter provided. My sister put on a MAW sticker. As I've mentioned before, my chapter did NOT supply us with MAW buttons, which I most desperately wanted. Seeing almost every single family with them made me kinda jealous/sad. A little bit later than 7:30, I was ready to go, but it's a family thing so you gotta wit for 'em. This is me bubbling with excitement.
As you see, I was the one carried the GAC throughout the whole trip unlike many other families( the parents were the ones). My mother doesn't go on most of the rides my sister and me go on so I figured it'd be logical that I'd carry it.
Almost 8 a.m. and my family is almost ready!
Yes, I even took a picture of the clock.
YAY! We're finally eating breakfast! My mom discovered those delicious waffles. I would regret at the end of the trip not putting whip cream on my waffles every single day. Trust me, it tastes heavenly. I didn't eat a lot because the excitement wouldn't let me. You may remember that we were traveling by MEARS. The pickup time was at 10 a.m. It was 8:30 by the time we finished eating. Here's my sister and me with some volunteers I had recognized from the previous night!
We went back to the village and brushed our teeth. I decided that it be a cool time to make my pillow since we had more than an hour left!
Here's a pic of Wanda and me with the nicest volunteer we met!
Wanda is 21 years old, so she's not supposed to be making a pillow since she's registered as and ADULT. My sister asked the volunteer, whose name eludes me, if she could make one. She said something like, " I think *insert owl's name* knew you were coming.." A few minutes later, she told my sister to open the tree trunk and voila! My sister had her very own pillow! You should have seen her face! There we go! Another sprinkle of pixie dust. Even though the pixie dust wasn't directed at me, it makes me even happier that my sister is being treated a like a wish kid also.
Headed back to the villa:
So what will we do for 45 minutes? VISIT THE AMBERVILLE TRAIN STATION OF COURSE!
I kinda forced my sis to ride the train!
We rode the train and then hung out for a while. It was nearing train so we went back to the villa to get our stuff to then go to the House of Hearts. There were quite a few families traveling with MEARS...that's when I realized we weren't the only Puerto Ricans there....
We met our first Puerto Rican family who actually lives in Texas.
Later on, I would count 11 Puerto Rican families, including us!

There was a problem that some families did not confirm there reservation and therefore did not have seats on the bus..there were around 15 people standing and MEARS could not have that!

Because of this, we ended leaving the village around 11:30 a.m. instead of a bit after 10! YIKES! Now, for all you families traveling with MEARS, Magic Kingdom is the LAST stop. First is AK, then DHS, then, Epcot, and lastly MK.
Getting excited!
AAAAAHHH!!!
We arrived at the ticket center at 12 pm! Then had to take the monorail to the actual park. My mom waiting for the monorail:
This was putting me down a bit but whatever! While we were on the monorail, we were speaking with another puerto rican family and giving them tips and stuff.
We're actually here!
Our first stop? SPACE MOUNTAIN. My mom does not ride rides like these so she waited outside. I was quite nervous as this was the very first time using the GAC. I went to the CM of the standby line and he directed me to show the CM of the fastpass line. W were standing right next to the CM, ignoring the line of people waiting for their fastpasses to be checked. I gave him a quite and child-like "excuse me.." - and then showed him the GAC- With no expression on his face he just directed us to the end of the line. No big deal-in a minute, we reached him again and he passed us through. I was still quite confused with the system. The cars were so different than the one in
Disneyland and the track was way different! My sis did not like AT ALL the format of the cars.
We were out in 10 mins.
It was 1 pm now. After that? I think we did Buzz Lightyear or Autopia( don't know how it's called in WDW)... i know we did them both before eating. When we reached the line to Autopia, we noticed some wheelchair folks were being let in and there was a VERY short line for the wheelchairs. The standby line was gigantic. So we went to the CM's at the wheelchair entrance and they let us through. We got some weird looks because we clearly did not have a wheelchair. Oh well.
