Pre-trip Report:
Well, some of you may remember me. I posted awhile back asking about how the whole wish granting process is. Finally, almost a year after applying for a wish, my Mother was called today and they have set a meeting with the wish granters for next Tuesday! I'm sooo excited. I have decided to wish to go to Walt Disney World with my mother and sister. I think maroo told me that since my sister is 21 years old, she would not be able to participate in the wish, so I would have to make her part of my wish. And that is what I'm gonna do. Thank you so much for the advise!
Anyway, this is the cast:
Mom
(49) : She also has a life-threatening condition which is in remission right now. It is Lupus. She has fibromyalgia and a couple of other chronic conditions. She's a very thoughtful, generous and caring Mother for my sister and me and I love her soooo much!( Her anniversary was at disney world)
Sister
(21) : She also has medical conditions. She underwent surgery for scoliosis at the age of 16 and has been diagnosed with fibromyaliga. My sister and I stick together through thick and thin. She absolutely adores Disney! I also lover her very very much.
Me- ( Claudia )Wish teen (16) :
At birth, my Mom somehow knew that I would have problems with either my heart or lungs as I went it respiratory arrest and experienced bradycardia.
I won't give a lot of detail about my medical condition. Basically, for the past 6 years, I've been visiting my cardiologist constantly. I have hypertension, mitral valve regurgitation and a slightly enlarged left ventricle. I also have frequent arrhythmias. My mother has to take me to the gynecologist because it seems that I may also have Endometriosis.
When did we apply for Make-a-wish?
October 2010. Yes, almost a year ago. That's how long we've waited just for the interview.
What do I plan on wishing for?
A trip with my mother and sister to Disney World during Christmas.
Where am I from?
Puerto Rico...so it's not far at all from Florida.
Well, that's it for now....oh, I have a question. What should you expect during that first encounter with the wish granters? Is it one or two wish granters?

But I can six more days since I've been waiting since October.
Hoping all you wishes get granted
Oh, well. She's a VERY polite and nice person who happens to dominate English very well. ( I live in PR). I very much liked that. After speaking with my mom, sister and me all together for five mins, she called me apart and there started our half hour journey. She handed me this booklet in which to write in when I would like to wish to have, be, go, or meet. I listed various things in each category. As we spoke more and more, we started eliminating more and more what I had written until we came to that ONE SPECIAL WISH.
