A Pirate and Princess Get Married...and Disneymoon! UPDATE 6/15 DAY 3 PART 2

Can you elaborate on this? Why Not?
I haven't heard anything about it

One Word

YUM

I read it somewhere on the Disneyland boards. Apparentely fast pass won't be available the first two weeks in May because they're renovating some of the waiting area so I'm assuming they won't have space for two different lines.

I love the cake!

Hey darling!

First of all me and Jeremy are the same - I am (I guess) half jewish and half catholic but I consider myself agnostic as well! .. I just thought that tidbit was interesting and coincidental!! :goodvibes

I can't wait to hear all about Disneyland. I haven't read much about Disneyland so it should be a fun trippie! Also, I love Disney and Todd loves Vegas so that sounds like an option for a future honeymoon of ours as well - you smart little cookies!!

That's really ironic! Definitely coincedental. Jeremy and I are the most unreligious people you know so when people were making a big deal out of the religion thing it was really frusterating!

I love the whole out west thing because there's so many things to do. There's all these beautiful national parks out there that are also really romantic so it's like an adventure. I have to say I'm excited for everything- Vegas, the national parks, etc, but I can't seem to be more excited for anything than going to Disneyland!
Your cake is beautiful and looks DE-LISH!

Hi! I can't wait to read more especially since I would love to go out west to see all the national parks. That is a dream of mine, but I have to wait for my daughter (she is 5 now) to be old enough to be able to handle the hike. I am certainly not carrying her! My 9 year old daughter could handle it, no problem. The girl has been running 1.5 miles 3 times a week for her martial arts class. She will be testing for her junior black belt in martial arts in June, so I am not too worried about her because the run or any of the phase classes do not seem to phase her in the least. Anyway I have to run, I have my kickboxing class at 8:00 am, keep on writing!

Hi Serendity,

I'm not sure if I've posted before. I read your 2 previous TRs but I think I was still in my lurkdom phase.

Anyway, I'm really excited for your newest TR, not only because you and Jeremy are the cutest and your adventures are just halarious, but also because you're going to DL.

I've toyed with the idea of surprising DH with a trip to Cali next summer, but it makes me nervous. I just feel like I've got WDW down you know. I wouldn't know where to start to plan DL. That and flights seem much cheaper from Buffalo to Orlando.

I'm really excited to hear all about it

Hi, thanks for jumping on board! I just noticed in your signature that you're going to Disney tomorrow! How exciting! I would love to hear the details of your trip, I hope you start a trip report! We really love going to the national parks. We went to a couple of them a couple years ago and it was unbelievably romantic so we knew a combo of Disney and them would be the perfect thing for our honeymoon. Also what's great about them is they're really inexpensive. That's really great about your daughter, I can't even imagine running that far nowadays :rotfl: Have a great trip!

Hi ForKeeps, thanks for reading! I love your name! I'm happy to see you've come out of lurking. We're really getting excited for the trip but we're also overwhelmed with everything with the wedding that the honeymoon doesn't even seem real right now! I definitely suggest going out to California, it's so much fun but if you do go out there I would suggest also going to a few other places because there isn't quite as much to do as at Walt Disney World. I just noticed your signature and I'm definitely going to read your TR as soon as I get a chance (weekend's have been extremely hectic recently!)

I'm really not thrilled about the situation at all, but, thankfully it's almost over! Happy to hear that the drama is over! We're really excited for the Blue Bayou, I have a feeling it might be a highlight of the trip
First off, cake is gorgeous. And looks way yummy, which I tend to think is the most important thing.

I am glad your drama is almost over, too! And you an get to the fun part - Disney! i am way excited for you. It's been 6 months since we went to DL, and it is making me crazy not going more. Hey, I've been spolied recently- we were going every 2-3 months. Anyway, I walked by the Shiloh downtown the other day and once again thought what a fantastic downtown location it has. Just one block from my fave restaurant Bambara.

I didn't know that, I did talk to someone last night and found out what was up. They are refurbishing the entrance so everyone has to use the exit to enter.

Yes, we do leave tomorrow. What am I doing? Yes, surfing the dis boards, lord knows I will not sleep tonight. I should be doing last minute packing, but no I am researching some more. I will definitely write a trip report, but I have not figured out if it will be here or on Tour Guide Mike. Maybe both, we'll have to see.

Off topic I know, my daughter did really well on her run today she did 1.5 miles in 16 min. 2 sec. Her best time yet, she just needs to pick it up to under 15 min and she will qualify for a junior black belt. DH did excellent! His best time too, 3 miles in 26 min 29 sec. He needed to be under 27 minutes for his black belt. Pretty good seeing as he has never ran anywhere in his life up until March of this year. If they pass all of the requirements, he will get a real black belt, she will get a junior black belt.

Anyway, bye until next week. By then it will be only one week for you!!!!!

Oh no! I'd be so upset if we missed the fireworks! At least you were able to get on Indiana Jones walk on! I just found out Indiana Jones won't have fastpasses during our stay so we're going to have to either get on first thing in the morning or a fluke situation like you had! As for the cake we're having a simple layer cake with a pretty detailed design. The icing is buttercream and the inside of the cake is yellow with a tirimisu filling. This is a picture of it. Our cake is this without the stands between layers and we're going to have rose petals sprinkled over it.

YUMMY!!!! The cake is very pretty and the tirimisu filling sounds de-lish! I would definitly suggest going right to Indian Jones...it was so much fun. You trip and wedding is coming up so soon!!!

Your cake looks sooo yummy! I hope everything goes smooth for you and that you have a beautiful day and an amazing honeymoon! I can't wait to read all about it:surfweb: Best Wishes!:flower3:

Your cake looks fantastic!

I can't wait for some wedding photos :yay:

When I was looking at the cake they had all these funky/MTV'ish type cakes, so I was so relieved when I saw this, as it's a more classic look! I can't wait to get to Disney, you have no idea. This wedding has me so stressed (why oh why didn't we elope?) that Disney is the perfect respite from all the family drama. That's great, I can't wait to see all your city has to offer. What kind of restaurant is Bambara; maybe we'll check it out :goodvibes

You're in Disney right now! How jealous I am!! I have to check out Tour Guide Mike's site, I don't think I ever have! That's wonderful about your daughter, I can't imagine running that quickly in my old age :rotfl: . I used to be really athletic when I was younger though. That's also amazing about DH. I would probably have a heart attack if I even attempted to run 3 miles. Good luck to both of them! :wizard:

I love the cake! I'm so excited for everything but at the same time so overwhelmed by everything that it's an overall strange feeling...except for when I think about Disney!! :cutie:

Thank you so much. I can't wait to tell everyone about it! :goodvibes

Thanks so much Blue! I'm bringing my laptop on the honeymoon so I'll definitely have some for you ASAP!

OH Fun Stuff :yay: :dance3:

So will we get a few live reports as well???

Your ticker says 12 more days. You must be going crazy with excitement!!!!!

Only 12 more days then everything will be totally stress free. I don't understand the current cake thing. I just want something simple and elegant, not crazy. I want the center of attention to be me, not the cake!

Indy is my 2nd fave ride at DL. Get there first because you have to see it. And if you want to see any of Fantasyland, do it during EE or early in morning. No FP on Peter Pan means super long lines all day. Hope you enjoy the fireworks. I am so lame; I cry every time I watch them.

Bambara is New American. Here's the menu. I highly recommend it, and I highly recommend reservations. It is one black west of your hotel.

For something simpler, I recommend Stoneground on 400 South between 2nd and 3rd East. Best tiramasu I have ever had. Ordering drinks there is funny, though, b/c of their liquor license. Like you can't order a mixed drink like a Cosmo, but you can order cranberry juice with vodka, triple sec and lime. Yeah, they aren't lying when they say Utah have weird liquor laws. I am sure they could do Bacardi and Diet Coke for you, though!
