A Pirate, A Princess, and 10 Days In The World!! (with pics!!)

alright. so ive read just about a thousand trip reports, well 999 so now its finally time to start my own, and we will just see where this goes! haha well lets start it off with the cast of characters:

ME: My name is Reilly im 22 years old and a screen printer/ recording engineer. if you would like to see some of my work check out my website and blog in my signature. and yes i will be making some custom shirts for my trip! i have been a sort of closet disney fan until this january when i went with my girlfriend to disneyland and it all spilled out! so now ive got countless soundtracks and ride throughs and countless podcasts on my computer and i think ive gone far into disney geekdom! my favorite ride is the haunted mansion and im really excited to see how the florida mansion branched out from the original.

DGF: her name is Linda, and we have been dating for quite a while now, she is responsible for me being so crazy (in the best way ) im taking her for her birthday so she will get to pick out a lot of stuff, although i am the planner for this trip and sometimes she needs a triva reminder to prove my point! haha she is a supervisor at starbucks and is looking forward for a nice vacation. her favorite ride is splash mountain, and we cant wait to see the extended version.

DKITTY: Chistine, or kitty, depending on how i feel, she will be left at my parents house with their two cats, and although she gets very interested when i watch ride throughs on youtube, she is simply too lazy to take to the parks! haha she enjoys laying in the window sill, laying under the table, and laying on the keyboard! her favorite ride is anything that involves mickey!

we will be staying at port orleans french quarter from august 7th to the 17th so there will be plenty of info to report back on. this is our first trip and we are constantly reminding each other about how close its getting, so now we are in the last stretch!

today i picked up my unofficial guide for 2008 (ding) and looked at some nice cameras, i will be picking one up in the next week or so, so then i will include some pictures so you can see how much my screen name fits and how goofy i truly am!

hopefully i didnt drag on too long and someone will find this interesting!!

thanks guys for stopping in, ill try and update fairly regular, because i know i start yelling at my computer when people leave my hanging after lunch on day 3! hahaha im working on a shirt for us to wear and ill post a rough picture of it when i figure out how its gonna lay out!

so heres the brief layout of out ADRs:
wednesday night the 13th california grill, 9pm

and friday the 15th at cinderellas castle, 5:15

we arent really big sit down and eat people, and our touring plans will vary greatly each day so its really hard to schedule meals so i only planned places that would be special.

im also thinking about trying to drop in at beirgarden for a lunch, since ive heard nothing but good things. also tepen edos is also an option although i know its very difficult to get in without an ADR, im gonna shoot for an off time, possibly during illuminations, since we arent really big fireworks/parade people.

any other recommendations? counter service stuff that might be worth while

also put yak and yeti on the counter service list as well

one more question......
has anyone attempted to drink around the world? i love beer and would love to tackle this challenge and of course report back to all you good folks, ive heard that germany is the make or break point, but are there any suggestions, beers or directions i should heed?

so i got a new camera today, a nice nikon d40, so i was fooling around with it and thought i would let you guys get a little look at me!

ive seen some wild pictures on here so if you have any ideas of lenses or tricks to help me capture my vacation that would be awesome.

im on a mission to get linda and the kitty in a few pictures, so stay tuned.
