A pictorial trip report! Updated 18/06/08, 990 Pictures so far, not close to done!

Sorry for the delay everyone, I'm back working like crazy and the hockey playoffs have just started! For the next few days I'll be doing about one installment per day, starting tonight after I get home from work at around 9:30pm CST. My next days off are on Monday and Tuesday, so I'll be putting up a lot more installments on those days!

Looking forward to hearing more!! Is that another trip planned that I see??!!!! Did you take advantage of the free dining?? We were going to, but my BIL and his family were unable to change their dates from Oct to Aug or Sept (we are going as a kinda big family trip)....

As promised, I'm home from work and here goes another segment! These are all pictures from the long wall along the other side of reception at Pop Century, you may recognize a few things you haven't seen in ages!

And of course, Everything Pop was closed by that time, which was too bad because I was really looking forward to seeing it again!

We took a lot of pictures before we even actually got into our room!

I did want to play a few games at the arcade but we never seemed to have any time to spare for that.

Wasn't expecting to see a van there!

We found a ferocious man-eating duck lying in wait for us, but we got away!

All of these pictures were taken around 1:30am or so.

This is a shot of the fridge that we got for free through the Pop Century fridge swap on the Budget Board! The various families that had previous had it had written on it in marker, but we didn't end up ever finding one, so we didn't get our names on it. Thanks again guys!

So after we got into the room, we ordered pizza and finally went to sleep around 3:30 or 4:00am. Off to Epcot when we wake up!

Quick update! We just officially booked! We weren't able to get our favorite, Pop Century, as it's completely booked for the dates we were looking for, but we did sneak into All-Star Music from August 24th - August 30th with free dining! We had originally planned on going on a shorter trip, from August 15th - 18th, but for those 4 days not even counting food, it was going to cost the same amount as our 7 day trip that includes the free dining! Great deal! Happy dance beginning now!

Those pics of the wall at POP have me jonesing for a pair of real, honest-to-goodness ROLLER SKATES!!!

It's pretty cool to see the resort so empty. Great pics!

Loved the pics of POP!! That is where we were originally booked for Oct, but switched to ASMuwhen BIL asked us to because he had switched to ASMu family suites from the Contemporary. Congrats on getting free dining!! That is sooooo awesome! You have to do a TR for that trip too!!

I can't believe you took all those picture so late at night. We're usually exhausted by the time we get to the hotel and starving We've stayed at Pop a couple of times and have never seen that little wading/splash area. Where exactly is it? I can't believe you are arriving the day after we leave! We could have had a little Dis meet

You have to let me know how the family suites are. We almost stayed there last time but got a better deal with a discount code for two regular rooms. I wonder how comfortable the sofa bed is? Especially if an adult is sleeping on it. Could you do a little research on that for me?

We did actually meet a few Dis'ers while we were there. Lubspoohbear I think is the name of one of them and the other two are more lurkers than posters now. I was standing at one of the vendors, waiting to get some Frozen Lemonade when I heard from behind me in quiet voices "Just ask him!". Someone poked me on the shoulder and asked "Are you from the Disboards?" So yeah, finally I met a few of you!

I won't be able to post an update tonight unfortunately, DW isn't feeling well and I'm looking after her. I think the trip finally caught up with her! I'll get another couple dozen pictures up by tomorrow night though. Hope everyone is having a great night!

That is great that you met some other Dis'ers!! I met two this past Jan (Goofymom and Grumpymom)! Sure made the line go so much quicker to chat with other Dis'ers. I am sorry to hear your DW is not feeling well! Hope she gets better soon..
