A pervert in the neighborhood!

One of my neighbors just came over with a newspaper article about this guy who lives on the next block. It seems that he has been luring little girls into his house and showing them porn on the internet. We recently moved here and did a search for sex offenders in the area and there were none, until now. The article said it's this guy's 3rd arrest, 2 here in Illinois and one in Florida (great, the 2 states we frequent ). I have boys, so seeing that this guy likes girls, I feel somewhat better, but now I know we'll have to be extra vigilant with our kids. This is sad.

My aunt just found out there is a child molester in their neighbourhood too. This one likes boys and is not supposed to be alone with any children as a part of his parole. She never lets my cousins roam the block alone now. The scary thing is that his daughter leaves her 4yr old son in his care when she goes to work! What is she thinking?

And where the hell are their stupid ignorant parents? We have two perverts (one has served time) within two blocks from us. Am I worried? nope. I know where my kids are at all times.
It blows me away to see so many kids roaming around hopping from house to house and the parents are totally clueless. Most parents don't want to be bothered and just let their kids take off for hours by themselves.

My aunt did let my cousins roam the neighborhood, but it is a rural area. They live at the end of a dead end and my mom, other aunt, grandparents, and great uncle live next door so it was safe. Then they put in a new subdivision (mostly mini farms) where woods backed their property (thats where the child molester lives) so they keep a better eye on them now. I wonder how that child molester can afford to live in a gorgeous two story house on 10 acres if he has been in prison all that time? Somehow it doesn't seem right.

Honestly? I would prefer they keep them in prison forever and not let them out. The majority do not change.

Oh wow what timing! I'm watching the local news and about 20 teens ran after a child molester and decided to take care of him themselves. They were fed up. He has been following kids around for two weeks. He also dresses like a woman. The cops now have him.

I think they should keep them locked up as well. They are not going to change. In our old neighborhood we had 2 registered sex offenders very close by. It is scary, I dont let the boys wander the neighborhood but I still dont like having those sicko's close by.

The child molester in my aunt's neighborhood was let out of prison early due to overcrowding! Why don't they just build bigger jails or more jails; anything to keep people like this away from kids!
