We are coming to WDW for 13 nights. We have our stay split in 2 .... 9 nights at the 1st hotel and 4 nights at the 2nd. For the 4 night stay we are doing the QSDP, for the 1st half we are planning on the DDP.

My wish if I could have one is to use TS credits at CS locations. We have a few TS places that we want to eat at. One of which is CRT so that will count as 2 credits. I CAN'T find 7 other restaurnants that we want to eat at!!! Also, the thought of 8 sit down meals over 10 days is OVERWHELMING!!!!

If CS is cheaper then I wish we could just use some TS credits towards CS!!!! UGH!!!!

It is frustrating bc it will cost us more to not be on the dining plan and do the TS we want but if we do the dining plan we don't want all of the TS meals!!!

So for now I sit and crunch numbers and try to figure out the best thing to do!!!!!

Can you do the DDP on the 4 night stay and the QSDP for the 9 night stay? Then plan to do CRT and then just two others (or another signature) during your 4 night stay

Yes I have thought of that but the problem is we only have tickets for 5 days in the theme parks. We will be staying at the Poly for the 1st 9 nights. We wanted to take advantage of most of our 5 days in the theme parks while at the Poly due to the monorail and boat to MK.

Also, DD's both have their birthdays on June 13th so we were hoping to do 1900 Park Fare ad CRT close to their birthdays at the beginning of the stay!!!

Ugh! I just wish I could use some TS credits for CS...I would be spending less money that way! It is too bad that they do not give you that option.

I wish we could downgrade TS to CS if we wanted as well. But since we can't, I'm going to make sure to order $$$ things at TS then. HA. I'll show them. bwhahaha..

ROTFL....:rotfl:

That is exactly what my husband says!!!!!!!

Do you already have your tickets? If not, one option would be to buy tickets for more days. The price difference between a 5 day and 10 day is only $15. That way you may be able to find more TS restaurants to eat at.

If this is not an option, there are still several TS restaurants that we enjoy with our kids that are at the hotels. We have done several buffets which are nice because you can eat as much or as little as you want and they are generally pretty quick so you can move on to the next thing. We enjoy: Boma, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Faire, Kona Cafe to name a few.

Good luck with your decision.

Brooklyn--This is OT, but I LOVE the banner in your siggy! It looks spectacular! And your DDs are dolls! Is it custom by you?

I wish we could get more days....We are getting the military tickets for the 5 days. At $99 it is a GREAT deal but upgrading them is at regular price.

We were looking into Chef Mickey's and we are staying at Poly so Kona could def be an option. I will look into Boma. 1900 Park fare is a def for us!

Thank you! Yes, I created the signature. I LOVE making fun signatures. I have made a bunch over on a the cruise boards. If anyone would like something personlized just PM me and I would be happy to create something for you.

I would also use them at resort TS restaurants if you can't get in for early breakfast in the parks.

You also have till midnight on the first part of your trip to use up the DDP credits.

We had the free dining for 14 nights and still have lots of places to try out for next time.

We really liked Chef Mickeys (B), 1900 Park Fare (B + D), Kona Cafe (D), The Wave (D), Donald's Safari Breakfast and Crystal Palace (D).

There are place in DTD also you could use them at.

What about going to the Hoop Dee Doo or even the Poly Luau they each use 2 TS credits and are not in the Park so you can go there on your not in park days.
Where are you going to use all of those CS credits outside the park if you are only doing parks for 5 days? Do you know the longer you stay the cheaper per day the park tickets are, and if you add the water park option it is expensive for one day but if you go several days it is not much more.

They have special military ticket that can't be upgraded!

You can still use the CS and TS at the resorts and DTD.

If CRT is the main TS that you want, I'd do QS for the nine days, pay out of pocket for CRT (and maybe one other if you're just dying for it), then do DDP for the 4 days. I think you'd still probably come out ahead in the long run. You could always do Hoop de Doo or the Luau to use two of those 4 TS on your other days.

Seated dinners nine nights in a row for kids your age could get rather tiresome, I suspect.

Thank you for your advice. I am going to sit down and look at some other options like this. It might work out this way. We also could skip a birthday dinner per say and just got them a cake and stuff on their bday????

Thanks!

Or make that your Cinderella out of pocket day maybe? Can you imagine the attention they'd get on their birthdays in the castle? :thumbsup2

I do not have a problem using the CS credits, I just don't have the desire to stop for 9 sit down meals.

I am going to look into the Hoop Dee Doo and the Luau...I was never interested in those but maybe it would be a good time see them! :thumbsup2

I actually looked forward to a nice sit down TS each day!

We went in September when it was quite warm, so some of the lunches/early dinners were great at getting us out of the sun and giving us a break.

You know, another option is to not do ANY dining plan for the first part of your stay. Why waste the money/credits? Since you really only want the one sit-down meal, it's most likely MUCH more cost-effective to just pay for that and all your counter service meals for the nine-night part of your stay.

Totally OT, but Brooklyn and Madison have a great birthdate - it's mine too! (well different years of course ;)

The Hoop is a lot of fun. Lots of Ribs and BBQ Chicken and beer and wine is included for the over 21 bunch, and a great show. We have been there 3 times.
And you don't need a park ticket to go there.
