We fly out on March 26th with Virgin from Gatwick and we booked with BA to get us from Edinburgh to Gatwick on the first flight of the morning (6.20).
In hindsight we thought we would be better going down the day before and using twilight check in. A couple of weeks ago we called BA who told us our flights were non changeable and we would need to book new flights. We politely declined.
Having thought about it over Christmas we thought we would just go for it and splash the extra cash, buy new tickets and all.
Hubby went on to BA's website and out of curiosity thought he would check to see the current prices for the 6.20 to see no flight listed.
A swift call to BA this morning and several worried operators later it was confirmed that the flight had indeed been pulled. They did this and hadn't told us
They offered to change us to another flight free of charge. I suggested the day before and it wasnt a problem.
We now fly on the Saturday with no extra costs
So, if you happen to be on the 6.20 EDI - LGW on March 26th it aint happening.
