we will be staying at the little mermaid in a couple weeks. The AoA thread show a lot of people going to Little Mermaid, as are we. but hardly anyone in the rest of the resort. Will there be anyone else there with us in the other resorts? ;)

Here now in LM room.other areas have people but resort doesn't seem terribly busy even arriving opening day for our section. Bus and food court are not super crowded:)

I really think this is due to the fact that for a Value resort the suites don't seem like such a value....If I am spending that much per night I would prefer walking to Epcot or Monorail resort. Especially since you could rent DVC points and get a one bedroom in a deluxe resort for less than a AOA suite. The pricing for AOA is definitely not Value pricing

Enjoy your stay and have a wonderful time!!! I think LM is booked, but very little posting from anyone anywhere else at the new resort :confused3

easier exploring for us!

I agree completely. Not sure who thought of this, but the price is way out of line. Especially since there is only one real bed. Giving up a couch or a table is huge for a group that will probably not all go to bed at the same time. The few they had in the in AS's were probably booked more for theming than value. To fill and entire resort like that is a tuff sell, they should have done the rooms in the reverse and the rooms would be more difficult to get and more people would want them. Pricing would still be too high for me though.

AoA or any resorts will probably be quiet. I'm quite sure that most of the schools are back in session. I'm sure there will be others at the resort besides your family. You won't be alone. :) The amount of members here on the DIS board is only a small fraction of the actually folks who visit Disney. There are millions out there who probably not even heard of this site. You are definitely going at a perfect time! The weather is probably not as HOT not like during August and the crowds are very low. I think you will have a blast!! Don't forget to hop to the other two pools besides the LM pool!
Enjoy!

Of course you will have an amazing time.. It is Disney... I am sure LM rooms are almost fully booked because of reasonable pricing and the attraction of a new resort...Hopefully some people will get Pixie Dusts upgrade as they try to fill up other areas..... Its just that the suites are really not Value pricing...

I just cant see paying more money for a Value than renting a one bedroom in a Deluxe where you get amenities like pool slides, bigger beds, etc.

In Epcot resorts you can walk to two parks or take a boat, BLT you can walk or take monorail or boat...

I just don't see the value in AOA unless you are staying LM....

So true.. :confused3 It's almost the same price as the deluxe WL/AK! I hope you guys and other will get upgraded! That would be nice!!

I know my son would LOVE Cars suite but I just cant justify it... We booked BWV for about a third of the price... (For a studio - but even a one bedroom would be 1/2).. I am hoping that when the newness wears off the pricing structure will change as it looks like a fun resort to try...

WL is next on my list of must try resorts.... :) It looks gorgeous and love the fact that you can take a boat to MK or to CR to access the monorail... Since we go multiple times a year I like to switch it up so it feels different each time. We spend as lot of time in the resorts and no two vacations have felt the same!

Although my last visit to Grand Floridian has left me wanting MORE!!!!
