A note on my stay at ASMu

For those of you hesitant to stay at an all-stars motel. I wanted to share my experience this summer at ASMu. I'm not doing an entire trip report because of personal issues, but I wanted to share with the people here on DIS about my experience at ASMu. As many of you read, I am a resort snob and love my Deluxe resorts. However, my DH was having none of that. He would not spend more than $100 per night for a hotel so that left the value resorts for us. I was hesitant but we ended up going to All Star Music and I have to say, the cast members were wonderful, they gave us connecting rooms (even though we were 4 adults and a teenager) and our rooms were fresh and clean. My teen loved the theme. His only complaint? we needed a rental car. If I was to stay at an all-star motel, I would rent a car next time. The busses, while not too crowded, were not his idea of fun. The motel was quiet, and we did not hear too much activity (even though it was summer, hot, and we were facing the pool) at the pool area and really did enjoy our stay. If you are in doubt about staying at an all stars, don't hesitate. While it is not a deluxe stay, you will enjoy yourself and the in-your-face theming. Cast members also made the trip extra enjoyable.

Just thought I would share. By the way, we were there August 15 through the 22nd.

It's great to hear you liked ASMu. We stayed at Poly last year and I loved it, but we are staying in a family suite in Feb. I'm looking forward to the extra space and two bathrooms. I know my 3 year old DD will love the theming at the All Stars.

Thanks for sharing. I loved our stay at Pop and then it seems I start planning a trip and I want to stay at the deluxes but I just can't bring myself to pay those rates. :scared1: I've ended up cancelling the past two trips because I wanted Poly so bad but couldn't bring myself to pay but felt I'd be unhappy at anything less. I know it sounds like I'm acting like a spoiled brat but I'm just going to try to not get caught up in resort drama in the future and just settle on values. They are truly a great price and the kids like the themes.
