Hi y'all!

Haven't seen or heard of any discussions about this picture from D23... but it is highly interesting...

Apologies for poor quality.

This image shows of a new layout for the "Epcot Hub". What is surprisingly different is the lack of Innoventions, Fountain of Nations, Port of Entry/Disney Traders, and nearly all of the Future World plaza...It also includes a new area for Illuminations, which appears to have bridges and fountains. Extremely interesting!

I don't recall if this photo was discussed during the Parks and Resorts conference, so I wonder why show this intriguing concept art without going into detail.

What are your thoughts on the concept art? It looks very interesting, and I wonder what will happen to Epcot with this piece of art...

The picture also shows the monorail loop extended much further out, it actually shows it going over a portion of the lake.

Think part of that is that this picture is just a Blue Sky image of a possible redo of the EPCOT entry area. All the other stuff put out is things that are actually supposed to be coming. Also it seemed to generate teh least interest at the panel itself too. People were cheering loudly at every piece of art put up during it or announcement, except for this photo. It was practically silent when they showed it.

I can't really tell from the picture quality but can someone zoom in on UOE and M:S to c if they show the expansion of guardians and the space restaurant just curious thanks

Can't really tell since Disney didn't release a high quality image of this one. Mission Space does look a little different.

This appears to be the new walkway to World Showcase. Odyssey would be to the right.

The Seas entrance looks a little different.

Biggest mystery is this maze type thing over near where the land would be.

I don't think it does but I wouldn't say that's discouraging at all, just that their concept art is focused in other places

If you look towards the bottom right of the picture just below Test Track you can see the edge of the Odyssey building. The water is already there, but the picture shows new walkways towards the center.

Anyone else think that the Wonders Of Life pavilion will turn into the space themed restaurant?

My bet is Odyssey building. It already was a restaurant at one point and has kitchen space. They could ax the cast break area and offices in that building pretty easily and then put it somewhere that already has a kitchen (and I assume gas lines etc.).

From rteetz:

FYI this will not go in the Wonders pavilion but attached to Mission Space on the other side of the building near Test Track.

eh that wasn't talked about so I'll go with it being speculation. I mean it could go in Wonders of Life but Odyseey is even worse wasted space now then Wonders and was a restaurant so that's why my bets are on that. Of course we all could be wrong but a lot of Epcot's announcements are still to come. Basical by WDW 50th EPCOT is going to look and feel very different.

This new Epcot/FW(will it still be FW?) stuff is the most interesting to me out of all the D23 stuff. With all of the other additions we know where they are going, generally how they are going to look, how we think it will affect the park, etc.

This is a single photo that practically changes the entire front half of Epcot.......WE NEED MORE INFO!

I was thinking the maze looks more like a go-kart track of some type....but since speedway survived, I don't think the demand is there. Maybe it's waterways for an outdoor boat ride?

Alice queen of hearts maze?

They would probably put that in the U.K., where it originally was supposed to go. The maze is definitely in "The Land" section of the concept art. It seems like a waste though to put it in "The Land" section, when there's already plenty to do.

One of the things I love about the concept art is the walking path connecting "The Imagination" building to World Showcase. This section and my feet need that shortcut. I don't like any unnecessary walking unless chocolate is involved.

P.S. What the heck are those 2 circular buildings on the right? Stores? Dance clubs? Illegal robot pit fighting?
